SOURCE: i have a toro ccr 3650 snowblower the electric start just grinds

This problem has been solved! I took the covers off the machine, removed the starter and eventually replaced the drive. Apparently the drive parts were put on back ordered and took about 4 weeks to get the drive set. One thing I suggest if anyone does this is to look at the fly wheel to insure it's in good working order. The dealer I worked with said often that is chewed up (the teeth on the fly wheel) and leads to a bigger headache. Fortunately mine was just fine. The machine now works likes like new as I put in a new spark plug as well!

SOURCE: i have a toro snowblower. i cannot pull the pull

Pull your spark plug out and see if the cord will pull out, if it does than that means your cylinder is full of gas which is a result of ethanol in the gas causing the needle valve to leak causing fuel to siphon from tank to cylinder, pull your carb off and put a carb kit in and you will be blowing snow in no time,if this isnt the problem then enjine may be seized up and its time to replace blower. Good Luck!

I have a Toro 8526 snowblower. Pull cord drags in cold weather- I have to use electric start-once started and warmed up, pull cord works fine-is this condensation you think?

Sounds like your recoil starter is dry. when it's cold it makes it a lot worse. I would shoot a little oil into the recoil. Even try a shot of WD40 and if that works use an oil can to shoot oil into all the moving parts

How do i trouble shoot the electric starter system,it does not work

Mine the electric cord had pulled out of the receptacle.on the blower so it was not working. I pulled it right out and reinstalled it It's ok now.
Do you have power coming to the blower or have you blown a GFI and it needs to be reset. Does the starter click or try to work? These are things that I have to know before we tear things apart.
If it buzzes it could need a gear replacement. on the starter itself.

Can you pull start it? If so,you may need a new starter gear, about $30,they're plastic & wear out.

Toro Lawn Mower Electric Start Won't Engage

you'll need to pull the starter. It sound like your Bendick's is bad. that's the upper gear drive assay. the only other res ion would be, low power to the starter, and not receiving an acquit amount of amp to reach the rpm's it needs. good luck

I have a Toro electric start 22'' inch lawmnower Model No. 20018 with a Tecumseh LEV 90-120 engine. The mower may be started with the electric start or manually with the cord. The battery was in need of...

It sounds like the starter drive may be jammed. It should not be engaged unless you are using the starter motor. Take the spark plug wire off, put on heavy leather gloves, and try turning the blade by hand to dislodge the starter drive. If it does dislodge, plug the spark plug wire back up and try the pull start again.
