When it dies will it restart right away or do you have to let it cool down first? It sounds like it could be the ignition module if that is the case

SOURCE: How do you start the

use the primer bulb bulb and press it three times to fill the carburator with gas, then push the choke rod to the full right position and either start it with the pull rope or use the electric starter to start it,if it will not fire, then you have carburator problems, then remove the sediment bowl off the bottom of the carb and see how much junk is in this bowl and dump out, then reprime if needed, and then try a small amount of gas into the carb and see if it fires,if so then you need the carb cleaned out depending how plugged with gunk it is by either yourself or a professional,i own 3 of these machines and the gas they have now(especially) the "gasahol" E-10/E-15 blends are tough on these carbs, let me know how this works for you,and see if we can get this unit running for you!!! GREAT MACHINE when running!!!

If you replace the carburetor needle seat and bowl gasket it will do the trick. Look up your model snowblower at www.arcolawn.com and you can have them shipped.
Good luck

I was given a Toro 521 Snowblower. It won't start. I replaced the plug, gas filter, air filter and gas line. Still won't start. Also drained the tank and added new gas

I have a toro 421 snowblower i filled it up today with oil and gas when I started it a milky white oil looiking came out the breather tube what could have caused this

it sounds like you had water in the crank case.
Stop running it immediately and drain all the oil. Then make sure the crank case is empty of oil and clean, and refill with fresh oil. After you fill it back up with oil, run it a minute and check again for any milky/foamy oil. If it is clean, check it again after several minutes. If it stays clean, you should be good. If it is milky again, take it for professional service, as you probably have a damaged gasket somewhere.

Toro 521 snowblower..nn replace gas line to carb, it runs inside the engine cover..removed all bolts but the back cover doesnt seem williing to be removed

Or, you can try the easy approach. Take a 1/4" bolt about 2" long and cutoff the head. Force the bolt into the old fuel line on the fuel tank side (after removing fuel tank), push other end into new fuel line, tape the lines together well with electrical tape. Gently pull from one side and push from the other until new section of line comes through. Just did this and it too all of 5 minutes.
