Feb 8, 2010 - Question about Fuji FinePix S9500 Zoom Digital Camera ... Mine willswitch to 'picture view' but when I turn the switch to 'camera' it all just ...
1 day ago - Hi I am new on this forum and new to bridge/DSLR cameras I have been given a fujifilm finepix s9500 and it will not power on I have tried ...
Connect the camera to the PC using the USB cable which should have come with the camera (part PZ-04832-100) .
If XP is configured with the defaults, as soon as you turn on the camera, a window should pop-up stating what you want to do with the newly found block device. If you choose, "Open folder", you'll be able to browse the memory until you get to the picture folder; at that point, just drag and drop, e.g., on your desktop (you may also drag the whole picture folder).
If nothing happens, check "My Computer" and verify that a new disk has appeared, possibly labeled E: or F:; double click on it and do as above.
Otherwise, you can purchase a XD card reader (possibly your computer already has one built-in; check) and take out the memory from the camera, plug it in the PC, and go. You will find instructions here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PdGi0B3dYf4
i just help the zoom to get out with a thin screwdriver and now the "ZOOM ERROR" message disappear, but i have another problem. The camera does not show the target (what to shoot) on the screen. It shows ONLY pictures on card.
I tried everything, but the target i choose does not appear on the screen.
Are you using alkaline batteries? The symptoms you're describing suggest that you are. Alkaline batteries just don't have the power for more than a few pics in a digital camera. Digital cameras for the most part should only be used with rechargeable NiMH batteries. Walmart sells these for around $7 for a package of four (about $15-19 for the batteries with charger). Keep in mind they'll save you big bucks in the long run over alkalines, AND they'll last for at least 100 pictures per charge (and probably many many more). You'll be very pleased with their performance, and slap yourself in the head for not buying them sooner. When at the store, look on the package for a power rating of at least 2500 mah.
try re-formatting the card in the camera. Turn the power on. Wait for the green light. Go to menu/set-up/format and say "yes" to format option. That's the usual fix.
