I press drain and no spin but when I press a key under the options menu, the washer beeps twice (each time I press the key). I never get the c00 code to engage the latch and begin diagnostic run.
Usually if it's you motor controller it should stil go into diagnostic mode. so that is probably not your problem. can you post a picture of the inside ccu board and of the door lock this would be helpful.
did you find the tech sheet at in the bottom panel? but the answer to your question is YES if you did not wire it right it won't lock the door because it doesn't recognize that it it there and it won't go into diagnostics if the door is not connected right. check the door switch again and get that tech sheet out
check the door circuit first. make sure the door switch is not broken. there should be a button that you can press in and out at the very top. make sure that is not broken.
oh...just to answer your other question about the motor the 2 red wires going to your motor is actually a tachohmeter that is inside of your motor. the motor and everything attached to the motor is one unit. the mcu is a computer board mounted to the bottom of the cabinet. But don't worry about these things these are a seperate thing if your mcu wasn't working it would give you a f28 error code i believe.
I just want to know when you press start what does the washer do? do you hear the door lock locking or is it completly dead? does it lock and you hear a humming sound? did you turn the hoses off. make sure the fill hoses are turned on. is there any other error codes that you have seen?
i think if i recall right the green wire is in the wrong place switch the one next to it. i believe it should be from right to left...white green black white. try that and let me know
please rate me so i can track you better
i am sorry i think that is correct. i don't know if this is comeing out ok but this is a pin config off a good one. so yours is right. I still need a picture of your door lock assembly please. inside and out
i am pretty sure it has to do with your door lock
yes i hope you get your new ccu board soon too. so you hit drain/spin, no spin, options extra rinse? 4 times? When will you get your new ccu board? clicking sounds are good. usually when you have a bad ccu board and it gives you a fdl/f11 error you will hear that clicking before it fails. I thought they solved that problem along time ago. They made all these ccu boards with loose solder conections in them. causeing f11/fdl error codes. the only thing you can do is check and ee if there is voltage comeing out of the board to the door lock and if there is no voltage comeing out of the board YOU HAVE A BAD CCU! if you are getting voltage to the door lock then you have a bad door lock. Anyway let me know when you get the new board and if this solves your problem all you can do now is wait.
you are correct, but all the CCUs are bad just a poor solder joint job. BEST TO RESOLDER YOUR CCU CONTACTS, All of them and your machine will work perfect
it is NOT hard to do, and youll be happy and save much. I have a brand new board I didn't use and never returned

Usually answered in minutes!
I changed out the CCU and the Door Latch. Now, when I select a cycle, it just lights up as if it was going to run, but when I hit start, nothing happens. I had figured that to enter the diagnostic mode would cause the machine to recognize the new board.
I have ordered another CCU just in case the one I received was faulty. I should have it in a few days.
I am wondering if I have a wire harness issue. I am very close to replacing that as well.
The MCU.....is that on the side of the motor? I have not checked the Ohm reading on that portion yet. I see 4 wires going into it from the back (removed the back panel). 2 single red wires and a connector with 2 wires together. Is this the MCU or do I need to look elsewhere?
I am going to beat this challenge by god......
I tried the diagnostic thing again.....nothing. Hit "drain", hit "no spin" this is where the washer reads 02....2 minutes remaining. then I press the first option button and the machine beeps 3 times, but I press and hold for 4 seconds none the less, and I do this 4, 5, 6 times and still does not enter "c00" mode. Something is messed up. Could I have compromised the wire harness causing this problem?
Will DO! Got the sheet out this am but did not have time before coming to the office...will try it out tonight!
Thanks for your patience.......
The washer does not do anything. If I press a wash cycle or anything else, it lights up appropriately. When I press start, nothing happens....no clicking no clacking, no filling. I am at work now, but as I recall, it does not even beep. The only beeping I get is from trying to enter the diagnostic mode.
Here are some pictures of the CCU
I still have the old door lock and will swap it with the new one to see if that makes a difference.

OK, So I swapped out the old latch with the new one and nothing changed with the old one in place.
But....when I hit drain, the light blinks. Then I hit no spin and the display changes from 12 min to 02 min. If I hit an option button for 4 seconds 4 times nothing happens except beeping 3 times, BUT, if I hit drain and then no spin, and then press start, I hear a relay click 2 times......this is the only action on the front panel that I can do to get sound of any sort from the CCU.
I hope to have the new CCU today so I can replace or at least rule out the CCU as the potential cause.

try pressing any button except cancel or start. you need to press and hold 4 seconds on off 4 times or untill all the light light upi and say 88 try this.let me know.
or you are still not doing it right. you need to select drain go to no spin then press a key under options but you have to press, press, press with no pauses unt6ill c00 shows up.
I am just wondering why do you need to get into diagnostics?
is there a problem?
Get some silver solder and a soldering iron and resolder your mother board contact points these machines all have issues with this and a new board is often as bad. I baught new latch, and other parts, but the machine was not totally fixed and error free until I took it apart and resoldered it. It is NOT difficult to do, but get a pair of magnifying glasses
