Hi,
recently I dug up my old Logitech Wingman joystick in order to play some games nicely. It worked nicely, however, the joystick was not calibrated.
Hence, I looked into the windows game controller menu in order to get it calibrated, and the Wingman nicely shows up in the list with status 'OK'. So far so good, but as soon as I click the properties button, there showed up a nasty little problem:
It gives the message that the device is not properly connected, and that the connection between my joystick and my pc should be checked. However, it gives this message after a second or so, and before it does, it shows all my inputs nicely in the calibration screen. It also shows my inputs if I click the message away (for it to show up again after a second).
During gameplay, the joystick works just fine, it is just not calibrated correctly.
Some specs:
Logitech Wingman Extreme Digital (see: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/486/2970&hub=1&selectedcrid=0&selectedcid=2970&cl=us,en)
Connection: Gameport, via Creative SB Live! soundcard.
PC: Windows XP Pro SP3
Can you help me with the calibration of this device?
Many thanks in advance.
Regards,
Siebe
Hello there
Usually these JS automatically calibrate when intalled, but...some like olders models, have problems, with sensors, or bad calibrations inside the rotor ans sensors area. for those fixes, you have to open carefully the JS and look for the sensors that usually are two optical sensors, and clean good, with computer air spray, sometimes that did the trick, but others, its a sensors, problem. you have to RMS the product, or use your warranty.
hope these helps!

Well you can try download lgs501.exe and run it. This scans on Logitech drivers on your system and can even update them.
( Not checked though, cause I am running on Vista )
