Part way through wash, drum full of water, machine stops and beeps with error code E50. It will allow you to pump and spin. Pipes and filter checked and free of sludge. Previous time the engineer said it was pipe blockage and charged 40 pounds to clear it. If it pumps and spins, surely the pipe isn't blocked?
This could be a number of issues. Have you checked the brushes? They should be at least 15mm. Check your circuit board and make sure that the dust from the brushes did not attach itself to the board and cause a short. Use compressed air to clean the motor. Clean the circuit board with air if dirty. Check for solder joints on the circuit board to see if any cold solder joints on the relays.

If you are certain that all pipes are clear, then you may wish to check the pressure pot & pressure switch ( & small hose joining the two as this could be telling lies to the program unit. If the machine is emptying but the switch fails to read the level correctly, it can cause the same sort of error problem. Pressure pots can fill with the "grey soap gunk" and switches pressure are a reletively common fault also. Good luck

Thats strange, F10 means no cold fill.
Ok back to basics, you can check the pressure switch by taking off the tube and gently blowing into it and I mean gently, you should hear a click if its ok - make sure the other end is'nt blocked, blow it out with a cycle pump near the drum end

Power off the mains. The
filter is located behind the silver plate at the back of the machine at
the
bottom. Four screws hold it on. Drain
out all the water. The filter is inside
the big black rubber hose attached between the pump and the main drum.
Remove
the plastic clip holding it to the pump unit and then the metal cir clip
holding it to the main drum. Inside is a white molded cone and a big
white ball
which floats. You will find a lot of junk here, clean out thoroughly. To
refit
put white cone back inside just as you found it, at the bottom, fit ball
back
into the cone. Attach to the bottom to the drum and re-fasten the cir
clip.
Finally reconnect the gator to the pump unit and tighten the plastic
clip. Check out the pump too before reconnecting.
