You can resort to certain DVD rippers like Leawo DVD Ripper to remove DVD copy protection and convert to common video, then transfer to your PSP. Just follow below steps to make it.

Step 1. Open Leawo DVD Ripper in Prof. Media for it's a module of Prof. Media.

Step 2. The first thing to do after entering the interface of DVD Ripper is to load the content in the disc to the program. You can now put the disc in your disc drive or put it in in advance before you open the program. You have two ways to add the disc content to the program. One is drag the DVD folder into the program as prompted and the other is click the Add Blu-ray/DVD button which is for loading disc content. Continue to click Add from CD-ROM and you will see your disc drive on the following option, click on it to load the content in the disc to the program.

Step 3. There's one setting we should pay attention to in this step. On the interface that has all the video titles in the disc listed clearly on it, you need to decide what titles to include in the output MP4 video. The Full Movie mode will have all the video titles selected and included in the MP4 video and Main Movie will have the main movie included. If you choose one of the two said modes, then you won't have to select the titles again on the title list. But if you choose Custom Mode, you will have to manually choose the titles you need on the title list on the left.

Step 4. The content you've chosen to include in the output video will all be imported to the video list on the next interface. On top of the video list are a row of buttons. You'll need to set the output format to be MP4. When you open the program for the first time, the default output format is usually MP4. But for future reference, here's how to change it. Click on the Format button which is the second button from the right and then click the Change button to go to the format list and change the default output format. There are a lot of different video and audio formats and presets for different electronic products you can choose from. The parameters of the video like BitRate, FrameRate are customizable. To get to the page for changing the video parameter, click the Format button again and click Edit. When you are done with customizing the parameters, click OK to go back to the video list.

Step 5. Continue on the process by clicking the Convert button. Set which folder to store the video in the output path box and click the Convert button to start converting protected DVD to MP4.

My DVD recorder is telling me "Input Source Protected" when I try to record. What does this mean?

This means the material you are trying to record is copywrite protected and can't be recorded. This can come from other DVD's or even certain brodcast programs are copywrited and therfore can't be recorded. I Have heard there ia abox you can hook to the DVD so it will remove thes copywrites but I don't know if they are still for sale. I hear someone tell me that he got his at Best Buy but that has been a few years back. If you have a computer and can go online, there is a program called DVD Fab decrypter that can remove the copywrites to most DVD's and you can make a copy on your computer to watch in your DVD. Just look up the DVD Fab Decrypter and check out their site. There is a cost for this program but I thought it was well worth it, I have made personal copies of many movies using this prgram.

What exactly do we need to do to transfer dvd's to our psp

As far as I know you'd need a program to rip the dvd to a computer. Then convert it to a compatible format for the psp like mpeg. Transfer to your memory stick and there you go. The program I use to rip dvds is called dvdfab. Would be easier for you to just download the movie from the internet in a suitable format and put it on the memory stick, but it's illegal to download movies!

How would you transfer DVD movies to a PSP using a laptop computer?

Hi,
In order to transfer movies to a PSP you would need a computer, a USB cable connector and a Memory Stick Duo. In order for movies be played in a PSP, they should be converted into a PSP movie format or an .MP4 file as this is the only extension that a PSP could play.
Next step would be to converting movie format you have into a PSP movie file or .MP4 format. Fortunately, there is a lot of software or applications out there that are capable of converting video files from one format to another. Aside from the regular file conversion applications, there are already PSP video converters available over the internet which can easily convert popular videos like DVD, VCD, SVCD, MOV, RM, MPEG, WMV, 3GP, AVI to PSP video format or the H.264/MPEG-4 format. After you have converted the movie files, it's just a matter of placing them into the memory storage of the PSP.
You will need to connect the PSP to a PC or Mac first, of course, and run the PSP video manager which is located in the "Tool" menu.
The system will automatically detect "C:Temp." The PSP files in this folder will be shown on the left side while files on the PSP will be shown on the right. The PSP is identified by the system as a "Removable Disk". Now, highlight the file which you want to put into the PSP and then click "Copy" and wait until the transfer has been completed.

I dont know how to get a movie playing

you have to use an MP4 converter.

then just create a new folder in the root directory named MP_ROOT, and then make a folder called 100MNV01 in there. So your .MP4 files should go into E:\MP_ROOT\100MNV01, where E:\ is the drive letter of your Memory Stick

Hope it helps

Sony psp

1) Plug The USB Cable To Both The PC And PsP. 2) In The 1st Menu On Your PsP, Enable The USB Connection. 3) Go To My Computer, And You Will See A Folder Under Removable Storage, (For The PsP) Open That, Open The Folder PSP, and create a folder called "MUSIC" 4) Copy Your Music To That Folder. It Goes the same for a card reader aswell, because your PSP acts as a memory card reader. and you can also put movies in the video file but the video format must be mp4
