I have the same problem and Dell Appliances serviceman this morning stated it was a faulty interlock mechanism and that was preventing the spin function working. cheers.

inside the waasher there is a fill level valve i think its blocked up with "gunk" if you look inside the washer you should see a small pipe from the bottom of the drum going up to a round type of valve with lots of wires fitted to it at the top of the washer,,,pull the pipe off this valve and "blow hard" down through it,,any "gunk" should be pushed out and the washer should wook ok after that,,,if it dont change the valve!!!
Testimonial: "Yes! The machine now seems to be working fine after what was a fairly straightforward job even for a semi-klutz with machinery like me. Many thanks."

hi I think the door lock is faulty it always shows 1 min until the door lock is unlocked. also will not start until it is locked. e40 is the error for starting the machine with door open but if if faulty will revert to the last minute. include product no and model if further info needed you can find this on a label in the door area.
