Washing machine won't do final spin.

My washing machine will wash ok, but when it comes time for the final spin, it tries to spin and makes a loud grinding noise. The model # is 417.42052100 and it's a Kenmore Front Load.

Remove the front lower panel. Right in front you will see the pump filter. Get some towels and a bucket and unscrew the filter cap and pull the filter out. See if you have a bunch of lint and stuff in there. If you do, clear it out, refit carefully and give the washer another try. The companies dont tell you how to do it, for their techs then won't make any money. A tech to clean your filter!!!?? $$$

Sounds like corrosion in the motherboard . Get an electronics serviceman to take a look, could just need soldering point to point connection. Hope this helps.

I have a frigidaire fwsb34rgs0 top loading machine. It works through the complete cylce ok but when the spin cycle starts and throughout the spin it makes a loud buzzing/vibration sound. It just started...

Hello I have same washing machine & when it starts to spin small black dirt is coming from inside. Tried cleaning it couple of times & also check water hose. When the water gets in the drum water is clean but when it starts rotating black particles come. Not sure of the issue.. can someone share the manual of this washing machine basically to know its Cu ft. Any idea of its capacity & what model replaces it in form factor as the dryer is working fine.

Hi, our washing machine started making very loud banging and whining noise in the final spin cycle and the machine was shaking. We have taken off the back. The springs look ok. any suggestions?

Loud banging is usually an unbalanced load. whining noise is some times debris trapped in drain pump causing it to squeal like a fan belt on a car. Strings, threads and hoses tend to get wrapped under agitator and cause noise, too.
