1995 chevy 350 egr valve problem

1995 chevy 350 5.7 ltr egr problem solved I have had this frustration with my 1995 chevy c1500 350 5.7 ltr , no codes show up, but it stumbles around 1500 rpm. I checked sensor after sensor and even changed a few. I had replaced the motor with a crate motor and at that time I put a new EGR valve on. It runs fine when the egr valve solenoid is unplugged. Well it turns out that the auto parts store gave me the wrong egr valve, Thanks Advance.. The correct one is the BWD EGR 101D which is a referenced to the OE number 17113371. I changed it and it runs fine.

SOURCE: how to replace EGR valve on 99 Chevy Tracker

Take off your EGR valve and clean it out with carb cleaner also
grease tyhe little screw thing in it,,, u will c what i mean if u take it apart. carbon builds up in the chamber. it is located at the back left side of your engine and is a bit of a pain to take off. this should save u the cost except for the cleaner and labor. i had the same problem cheapest i found was 90$ on ebay.

SOURCE: 1995 silverado 2wd 5.7L whants to stall out when I give it gas

It could be a knock sensor, crank sensor, or vacuum leak. Best information I can give you is www.alldata.com Costs about 25$ a year, however, it will tell you where every nut, bolt, wire, ground, power, and diagrams for every single part in your Truck based on your vehicle's VIN. I have used this service on my 01 Denali since the warr expired and it has saved me thousands of hours and lots of aggravation. It also lists any Technical Service Bulletins on your vehicle as well as "How To's" Hope this helps.

SOURCE: We have a 1993 Chevy C1500 with a 5.7 that is

something is creating alot of air to pass over the 02 sensor.

Low compression
Big vacuum leak.
Weak ignition
IAC stuck a little open.
TPS that is saying your foot is on the gas when it is not.
EGR stuck open a little.
Too low an idle
Weak spark plugs
Bad fuel pressure regulator
No vacuum to the fuel pressure regulator.
Bad coolant temp sensor.

What are the readings. Need to know the co and the hc reading in order to know if you have a misfire or an over fueling issue. All 5 reading are really needed to diagnose fuel related issues sight unseen

I have a 1995 chevy k1500 with a 350 it runs good when it is cold but runs rough when it warms up

check the ect switch by the thermostat outlet it looks like a temp sw. it tells the computer the temperature outside is and that determines how much fuel goes to the tbi. In addition, you want to check, the egr valve, its the big round piece on the intake behind the tbi. To check it reach inside the egr and pull up on the bellows In the center while putting your finger over the vacuum hose that is attached to it and see if the bellows stays up if not the egr is bad. Hope this helps.

What will cause spark knock at start up on 1989 C1500 with 350 TBI

Code 32 is EGR failure. This could be your spark knock problem. I believe your is vacuum operated, so check the lines. To check the EGR valve, pull a vacuum on it and release it fast, you should hear a tap. These can be cleaned to make work, as long as the diaphram isn't bad.

1995 chevy 1500 350,,,,, Recently have a problem with truck stalling in stop and go traffic. works perfect in the morning for about an hour and then starts acting up the rest of the day

Remove the throttle body, and check the EGR/Vacuum passages on the underneath. Most likely they are clogged. Also, check the wiring for the injectors on the throttle body. They are infamous for rubbing and shorting out. Also make sure that you IAC (idle air control) valve is working correctly.

Have you tried to replace the IAC (idle air control) valve?

Another probable cause could be a stuck EGR solenoid. If this solenoid sticks open, it will send vaccuum to the EGR valve, which will open the EGR valve and flood the system with too much air and "snuff" the engine out. This problem only shows up at idle. The engine should run fine when driving. Please let me know if this helps.
