The game is not damaged in any way and the disk works occasionally but most of the time freezes my playstation and the game doesn't even load
FINALLY SOMEONE WITH ANSWERS!
Rockme: I have more questions!
Rockme: I took your suggestion and signed out of my PSN, User ID. After signing out and re-running Black Ops 2 game disc, through my PS3, I finally managed to get to the main menu. Awesome, but I then tried to sign in again through PSN/User ID and the game immediately froze.
I have been searching for countless hours for a solution to this "disc" problem. Thank you for explaining to me that it very well might be a USER ID issue. I now believe that my User ID/PSN account has been added to this "Black Ops 2 blacklist", for misconduct, that you spoke of.
Before this issue really started to persist my Black Ops 2 game, while playing online, would freeze every single time I played the "Aftermath" map.
Maybe the reason I was put on this "blacklist" was because each time I played this map I was "leaving the game" ...
Maybe I was put on the blacklist because I was forced, so many times, to restart my PS3 after it would freeze this way. What do you think?
My concern now is: can I get my PSN/USER ID/ACCOUNT off this blacklist? I would very much like to know if there is a way to recover my account or get my account off this "blacklist" as I have spent countless hours completing challenges for gun camo's and achievements etc..
Wait! .... Are "Suggested Answers" not actually answers to the main question that the web-link originally presented?
For instance the original Question committed to this web-address, web-link, web-page was: "Why does my ps3 black ops 2 not even load?" Posted/Asked by LMGshooter1.
In the "Suggested Answers" on this page there are 5 suggested answers. One of them is an answer posted by Rockme from July 14, 2011. BUT/YET at the beginning of his "answer post" within this suggested answer it reads: "SOURCE" When I click the source hyperlink it brings me to an entirely new page and a new question. It appears that Rockme's answer was meant for this new page/new question.
So once again my concern is: Are the "Suggested Answers" not actually answers for the question; but merely a suggestion to a potentially related issue or a potentially helpful solution?
If this is the case: than my excitement was all for nothing and in fact Rockme's answer was not directed, intended, or pertaining to the issue revolving around the question LMGshooter1 presented. Which means that I am currently still looking for an answer as to why my Black Ops 2 game no longer works properly. From what I gather it is not a disc error, a PS3 system error, or a data utility/memory error; but a User ID error.
Is anyone still having issues with Black Ops 2 for PS3 or am I the only one who cares anymore?

Delete. game data . run disc
SOURCE: my son, had friends used his playstation, and play
Usually when a user gets banned from playing a particular game it is due to some misconduct due to the user ID. The user ID has been blacklisted on the black Ops system due to this misconduct usually using cheat codes or fake credit cards and the user ID is usually linked to the game system in all cases. If you want your son to still play the game you can try creating a new user ID for him and if this does not work then you would have to replace the console as it means the console itself has been blacklisted from the Activision black ops system. Sorry for any inconveniences.
Hope this solution has been helpful?
Thank you for visiting FixYa.
If there was any software installed when you played the game the first time, delete it and reinstall. You don't have to delete any of your saved data, just the software the game installed. I've had to do this on a couple of games before. Also, try disconnecting from your network. I hope this helps.

Go to your display settings and instead of choosing automatic for display choose custom. The 3D option is splitting your picture horizontally.
SOURCE: Black ops PS3 will not
Are you speaking of the software for the actual game? Press and hold the power button until

Press and hold the power button again
until you here 3 beeps. Let go. It should ask you to connect your
controller via usb and press the PS button in
the middle of your controller. There
will be a menu with 6 options. Try 2-5. If
this doesn't work, you may have to replace your HARD DRIVE. This is a
problem that I have faced before.
I would like for you to save your saved data onto a thumb drive or external hard drive and do the following: It appears that your system is glitching and will need to be restored or reformatted.
