How to fix the LO error code on Maytag Neptune front load washer
I need assists on how to fix a LO error code on a Maytag Neptune front load washer. I will continue to click like its trying to lock but never does. It was in mid cycle and just stopped.
help please
I thought my washer had completed its cycle because the door was unlocked and the appropriate time had passed. The clothes were not sitting in water, and it appeared that the spin cycle had completed. Hence, they were removed from the tub.
I closed the door, and the machine began protesting with a strange noise. Then, the LO error code lighted. I pressed the pad to turn off all controls and closed the door. Eventually, the noise stopped.
This morning, when dirty clothes were again put into the washer tub, the noise re-occurred and of course, the light went on.
Is there anything I, as a consumer, can do at my end? Or, need I call Sears repair service?

Lo means that the door is not locked. according to my manual, you should use the power off pad to turn the washer off. Then, turn it back on using any of the pad. If it reappears,(he bad news) call the service man.Lo means that the door is not locked. according to my manual, you should use the power off pad to turn the washer off. Error codes appear when there are problems with the door, the inflow and drainage of water and the motor.
Do Your Maytag Neptune washer displays the "do" help code when the washing machine is trying to start a cycle, but the door is open or not locked properly. If this message is displayed, close the door securely and restart the washing cycle.
FL The "FL" code indicates that the washing machine was unable to lock the door after you closed it. Open and close the door tightly, then restart the washing cycle.
Sd The "Sd" code indicates that you have added too much detergent to the washing machine and your laundry has too many suds. The machine will stop displaying this code if it has successfully run the suds recovery cycle, which removes the excess suds from the wash load. If the code remains, reduce the amount of detergent in the load. Use less detergent for similar loads of laundry in the future.
PF The "PF" code indicates that a power failure has occurred. Restart the wash cycle. If the code still appears, check that the washing machine is still plugged in to the electrical outlet.
Nd The "nd" code indicates that your Maytag Neptune is not draining as it should. Check that the drain hose isn't kinked and that the stand pipe isn't clogged. If you find either of these problems, fix them before restarting the washing cycle.
LO The "LO" code appears when the washing machine has finished the selected wash cycle, but cannot unlock the door. Verify that the door is closed properly, push the "Off" button, and wait two minutes. The door should unlock and the error code will disappear. If the error code remains, unplug the washing machine, wait two minutes and plug it back into the electrical outlet.
Lr The "Lr" code indicates that the washing machine's motor is not running as it should. Have your Maytag Neptune washing machine serviced by a certified Maytag repair professional. Maytag Neptune Priority One Service: (888) 462-9824

i think this one is the one with the clutch. if it does it b4 it spins. put it on a spin. if it doesnt spin, u need a clutch. under the unit the belt is whapped on it
You can try either prying the door open and then replacig the door switch which is probably what caused the problem in the first place. Or try unplugging the machine for several hours, press and hold power button for a few seconds, wait half hour more, plug back in to see if it resets itself.
latch open it means your latch on your door is not connecting It happened to me when I switch the door to open the other way your washer wont start or will stop mid cycle if the connection isn't made it is simple to fish hopefully you haven't already paid for someone to come to fix it :)
