Where is the filter on a Zanussi zwg1121p washing machine

Error E20 means the machine has failed to pump out. 1st check the filter at the bottom right hand side there may still be water inside if so pull the grey tab to the left of the filter there should be a thin hose extend it put it into a shallow dish and pull the cap off to let the water drain this may be a slow process. When the filters out look into the hole with a torch to see if any obstructions in the pump impeller this looks like a cross. If the filters and pump are clear it may be the pump has failed.

Open the panel at the bottom right of the front of the washer. Then pull out the drain hose and pull the plug from its end - this will drain most of the water. Then the filter turns anti-clockwise - if it is too stiff to turn by hand I use an open set of pliers or strong scissors to give more grip (It may be an idea to put a cloth between the pliers/scissors and the filter to offer some protection.

Locate the filter at the botton front right of washer, behind a drop down cover.
Unscrew anti- clockwise to remove and clean.
If still no go, then you need to check the brushes in the motor.

Simple in most cases its just the filter outlet has become full of day to day junk, debris and slime.
Slowly release the water by turning the handle to release the water. Ensure power is off.
Once the water has been drained into a shallow tray you can open the door.
Once the drum is empty, unscrew the handle completely to remove filter housing and clean out thoroughly.
replace and tighten up.
Turn on power and reset all programs.
This should work, Will take about 15 minutesto do, If it doesn't work, then it may be your pump. Also, check your long drain to see if there's anything clogging it up, rubberbands, hair bands coins, sock, etc.....hope this works for you....
