Food in Chef's Pantry drawer freezes, even on warmest setting

We have an Amana ARB9059CS refrigerator. Deli and produce items placed in the Chef's Pantry drawer freeze, even tho we have the temperature control on the drawer set to the warmest setting.

I would appreciate suggestions on how to solve this problem. Thanks!

    Solved my own problem, so thought I should let others know. The thermostat in the freezer compartment (directly below the Chef's pantry drawer) was too high. I lowered that thermostat and that solved the problem.

    same problem but if i lower temp in freezer, my stuff doesn't stay frozen in the freezer. ahhh!!!!

Place a thermomter in a glass of liquid. Put glass on shelf and see if the temperature changes or remains the same. If so change the control.

Fridge is freezing food
Make sure nothing fell below your crisper, deli drawer section. There are some air return vents below them and if they get partially obstructed would allow cold air to pool in the bottom of the fridge.
Make sure your freezer control did not get turned up too high.
Also you may want to check with the manufacturer as they did have some issues with some of the bottom mount models exhibiting this problem and they developed a repair kit for them.

Amana bottom freezer model #BX21TW purchased in 1996
this particualr refrig is notorious for this. check your controls ( your freezer control as well set to 4 max) any higher and the refrig is running longer, generating more cold then needed, behind the left hand crisper is a few slots( the fresh air return) by default the coldest spot in refrig, i usuallly would reccomend to my cust not to keep high water or thin walled vegies in there such as carrots cukes tom and lettuce, perfect beer and fresh /frozen defrosting meat to be though, if you ever looked at the newest bottom freezers they've pushed up the drawers and added a deli pantry, running the width of frig

Produce freezing
I had the same problem when one of my kids changed the setting of the chef's pantry (full-width drawer) to higher setting and everything started freezing. The setting should be at "lowest setting". Give it a try. deborah.
