Here are the steps to fill the water tank of the Air Innovation humidifier model A1-KS30U-06C:
Turn off the humidifier and unplug it from the power source.
Remove the water tank from the base of the humidifier by lifting it straight up.
Flip the water tank over and unscrew the cap from the bottom of the tank in a counterclockwise direction.
Fill the tank with clean, cool water. Do not overfill the tank; leave some space at the top to prevent spills.
Screw the cap back onto the bottom of the tank in a clockwise direction until it is snug.
Turn the water tank right side up and carefully place it back onto the base of the humidifier. Make sure it is seated properly and securely.
Plug the humidifier back in and turn it on.
Once the tank is filled with water, the humidifier should operate normally and begin adding moisture to the air. It is recommended to clean the water tank periodically to prevent buildup of mineral deposits and bacteria.

If the cap of the water tank (which contains a float valve) does not seal you may get excessive flow into the base unit which provides a working reservoir.
The base unit contains all the electronics including the cool mist transducer. This is a silver disk with a black silicone seal surrounding it. This is the only other place a leak can develop.

Try to just fill the tank with water and set it upright on a table. If it leaks, the tank is cracked and needs to be replaced. Order one at kaz.com (search using model#). I have had this tank leak if the special cap is not sitting properly on the base. Make sure that the steam tower is properly locked in place before you place the water tank in the reservoir. The cap on the tank has a spring release that has to be correctly lined up so it only releases water when the water level in the reservoir drops.
