Instructions

1. • 1 Press any of the buttons on the control panel to see if the buttons are operational or check to see if the "Control Locked" indicator light is lit. If the control panel is operational, you may mistakenly lock the door.
     
   • 2 Press and hold the "End of Cycle Signal" button for approximately three seconds until the "Control Locked" indicator light shuts off. The control panel is now unlocked, and the washer is ready for use.

   • 3 Lock the washer again by pressing and holding the "End of Cycle Signal" button until the "Control Locked" indicator light turns on.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
This is symptomatic of a malfunctioning water control valve- not closing fully- the hot water one, if the washer is hot and cold fill, and the cold one if it is just cold fill!
Sorry but it needs replacing and a service call ;-0(

Hi,

The error you have is due to a failure in the door latch mechanism. There is a way to manually open the door if you are a little handy I can send you some instructions, it requires pulling the lower panel off (3 screws).

Some front panel features differ between models, but the instructions should be listed on the front panel of the washer, and are located in the operator/owner's manual. If these preliminary measures do not work, you may have a mnore serious problem.

Try unplugging the washer for at 30 minutes to reset the computer, first. If this proves unsuccessful, you can retrieve you clothes by using the manual release. The following link explains how:

Once you retrieve your clothes, try running diagnostics on it. You can envoke the diagnostic sequence by selecting DRAIN/SPIN, NO/SPIN and then pressing any button under OPTIONS 4 times (must be the same button). The display should go to "C00" as the washer begins a sequence of tests that checks the fill functions, door lock, dispenser functions, motor speed, spin and drain. Allow the washer to run through the entire sequence and shut off. If anything is wrong an error code should be generated. Hopefully, all you had was a minor glitch. Let me know how things turn out. Press and hold 'dry' & 'spin', shd unlock OR
Try holding the "end of cycle" button down for 5 or 6 seconds. You must hv done it accidently, it is the child lock device. Pl. rate if helped.

Try shutting off the machine. Switch off Usually the door opens in 2 minutes or so. Do not force open the door. There may be instructions in your book to open the door manually. It could mean unscrewing somewhere.
