Toro rake and vac model 51573 won't start - Toro Blowers Rake and Vac - Electric Blower/Vac - 51573

The Mamco motor is WAY too much money.I bought brushes on E Bay and made them fit. #51591 takes 1/4 " square brushes.

I have a toro electric leaf blower 51591. I can't get it to start

the diode is bad on the start switch check with a meter for amps
