When I plug the crockpot in, all three lights (Low, High and Keep Warm" are blinking, and I can't set the crockpot to cook. I have unplugged and plugged back in and have tried again over several hours to the same results. There is nothing in the owner's manual about this, but perhaps others have encountered this problem as well.
We have their 6 quart Crock Pot. Same problem cited here!
We have found that, if you press both the (Low/High/Warm) AND the (Off) buttons at the same time, the controls will revert to the proper state. It has worked for us on several occasions so we trust it and have found no "adverse results"!

I took my blowdryer on high on the cool setting for about 5 minutes with the crockpot upside down and blew it in the vent. It dryed it out and worked fine after that!
This work for me. I used my blow dryer on hot setting for five minutes blew into the vent. I was transferring marinated wings to the crock pot and some of the marinate must have drip into the control buttons. Thanks IslandGirl

I took my air compressor and blew the excess moisture out from the bottom of the base. (it got in their from a "damp cloth") within two minutes it was working just fine.
What is the answer? Rival must have modified their "Help" page because it no longer even mentions crockpots anymore. I have the same problem and would like to know the solution. Thanks!
The hair dryer worked for me as well. I think some liquid got into the circuit board and was causing some shorting in the circuit. Thanks!
Call the 800.number on the bottom of the pot they are friendly, if possible they will send you a new pot good luck

Rival crockpot refuses to accept input from the touch controls on the face of the product. All 3 LEDs (lights) start blinking continuously when plugged in. Tried different power outlets, with same disappointing results. This is only the 2nd time I've tried to use the product, but it's been over 45 days (so I can't exchange the product at the retailer anymore).
Our problem was similar. We started the crock pot in the morning with a roast inside of it...when we got home later that afternoon, all three lights were blinking and the roast was luke warm (at best).
same thing as stated in everyone else's cases. it blinks around and around and will eventually stop on low, but soon after moves to high and back to warm. it sits for hours and nothing cooks. ill try the 3-button push as suggested above. i dont have an air compressor. i am becoming quite disappointed in rival products - any decent low-cost alternatives?
I had this problem and it seems they all do this from the time you plug them in and goes away when you hit "select" (for mine) or "set time" for my older (and much better) 1 so try hitting the buttons for it to ready it's self.
