The machine needs to be properly balanced for it to be free of vibration also correct weight of clothing inserted would help obvious that the weel needs repair meantime try balancing the machine.
Normally, when a washer will spin without cloths, the washer is doing all the basics correctly. But when you add cloths, which means adding weight, the washer will not, then its a suspension rods issue. The suspension rods absorb the weight and allow the washer to spin.
Most washing machines do not dry the clothes completely. Make sure that your clothes are evenly spaced & the weight is balanced to get the best spin speed. When the cycle is complete, you will need to put the clothes into a dryer or hang them up to get them completely dry.
The clothes inside the washing machine are not balanced. Too much weight on one side. Try to move some clothes to the other side to balance the weight. It may take more than one time of moving clothes to get it balanced correctly.
if the drum in the washer klunks/bangs in ANY brand of washer when it is spinning, your load is off balance. stop the machine, re-distribute the wet clothes so that the weight is evenly distributed, then restar the spin. u may have to do this more than once if u did not evely distribute the weight. this is an easy one. just be sure to stop the spin soon as it starts banging. letting it bang thru an entire spin cycle could result in actual damage to the machine. some of the new machines auto shut off at an imbalance so u can correct the problem. think of spinning a top. u unevenly add weights to it then spin it again, it WILL wobble.
You don't have to fill too much the washer, leave 1/4 of the cylinder free (if it's a front load washer) or check the maximum level for the top-load washer. Be careful not to compress the clothes. The weight that the washer can manage is the weight of the WET clothes.
More technically: the washer need to balance the drum before to spin-dry and for this it needs some free room in the drum. There is a sensor that check that there isn't too much vibrations during the spin-dry, otherwise it stops!
Without any other info. this sounds like the basket drive is worn out. Depending on the brand, it has different names, but it all does the same thing. Its kind of like the clutch in your car. It has to slowly get to speed. Yours, without any clothes in it has no load. But when you add weight, it doesn't have enough power to turn it. Its slipping or just worn out. Just wondering, why did you change the water pump? Did the wheel on it break?
It is probably between the clothes tub and the outer tub. To remove it from the outer tub port, open the washer's main access panel and remove the large-diameter rubber hose that connects the pump to the bottom of the outer tub and try to remove the clothing through the port.
Good luck
