Motor controller PCB for AEG 540 Lavamat

The machine is a 20 year old vintage model! I require the circuit schematic of the motor controller PCB, as well as any other relevant information (or perhaps there is a later model that uses the same circuitry?)

I have an AEG Lavamat 74810 washing machine which is 10 years old. On any cycle , the drum does not spin, on pressing the two left hand buttons, you get error code E52.

The E52 code indicates that the motor is not moving. This could mean the the carbon brushes have worn out, the entire motor is bad or that the wiring or control units have damage so that the message to spin is not getting to the motor.

Take off the back of the washer (after unplugging it). Inspect the motor plug and wiring to that plug. If those look okay, take out the motor and inspect the carbon brushes. If those are worn or broken, then you need to replace them. If the brushes are okay, then the entire motor or the control board are more likely to have a fault. See http://shop.aeg.co.uk/search?prpp=20&ppn=1&psfo=A&filter=category%3ALaundry%3AWashing%2BMachines and use the full product number to find out the part numbers you may need. Other sites will have these parts.

I hope this helps. Please add the product number of your AEG Lavamat 74810 if you need assistance finding parts.

AEG Lavamat 60810 E70 7Beeps Does seem to still work but display shows E50 and some time E70 and 7beeps over and over. Many thanks

First of all, read exactly alarm code.
Press "Spin/Rinse hold" button and "Prewash" simultaneously for at least 2 seconds: the LED switch off and then display the
sequence of flashes indicating the alarm.
The alarm sequence is displayed for the time in which the buttons are hold down. During the time the alarm is displayed, the appliance continues to perform the cycle or, if it is in the
selection phase, it keeps in memory the options previously chosen.
E70 - Family alarm code
  • E71 - Washing NTC sensor faulty
  • E74 - Washing NTC sensor badly positioned
Causes: NTC sensor badly positioned; NTC sensor faulty; wiring faulty; PCB faulty.

E50 - Family alarm code
  • E51 - Motor power supply triac short-circuited
  • E52 - No signal from motor tachometric generator
  • E53 - Motor triac sensing circuit faulty
  • E54 - Motor relay contacts sticking
Causes: Motor faulty; wiring faulty; PCB faulty; current leakage from motor or from wiring

When was the last time you changed the brushes on the motor? Check the brushes by removing the motor and then the brushes. The brushes should have at least 15mm left on them. Use compressed air and blow out the motor.

My AEG Lavamat 62810 keeps coming up with an error code E60. What is this?

On my AEG Lavamat 62810, when I turn on a wash cycle a motor (pump?) runs for 10–20 seconds then the machine switches off, with no error message. When this happened a few weeks agao running a drain cycle seemed to cure it; now the same thing happens on spin/drain/rinse cycles too. Any ideas?

LAVAMAT MOTOR DOES NOT RUN

If there is water getting into the machine, then the motor, motor control unit, pressure switch, timer control and wiring harness must be tested. If the machine is a top load the motor coupler may replace the MCU of variable speed motors, that must also be tested then.

If cycle is not operating at all, with no water getting through the inlet check lid switch, door latch, inlet hose , inlet valve, membrane switch, Timer board and MCU if present.

AEG Lavamat 16820: Strange noise coming the machine

Ok, the motor windings are bad. the A.C. hum is a warning that the motor will sound when the windings are separated or shorting. its unable to hold a balanced current.the motor will actually stop soon if it isn't repaired.

Wont spin at all.

Hi,
It could be that the motor needs new brushes (fairly cheap on ebay - and easy to do), or the motor run capacitor is faulty (lots of buzzing going on - but not much effort from motor), or it may be the motor or speed controller at fault.
Check the cheap bits first. ;-)

AEG Lavamat 50630 washing machine does not always spin

Am not familiar with this model but normally when there is no spin even with no clothes it could be either no signal from the timer or control board or a clutch problem. Could even be the motor itself, but would check the other possibilities first.
