I recently dropped my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ30 into a small creek. It was not totally submerged, but did fall about 2 vertical feet onto a rock. All of the functions have returned after allowing it to dry out, except that the camera won't turn off unless I physically remove the battery from its compartment. Also, the burst mode and stabilization mode buttons, which are adjacent to the on/off button, no longer function. All of these buttons and their respective electronics are housed in a compartment that is not readily accessible. I want to know whether attempting to expose this area, in hopes of fixing something, is worth the risk of causing more malfunctions.
