MY Sharp R-340D unit is about 3 years old. It worked perfectly until about a month ago when the Control Panel screen went blank. When I unplugged the unit and plugged it back in, the screen returned and the unit worked flawlessly again. Now, I lose the screen every day. When the screen goes blank so does its touch sensitivity, meaning there's no response when I touch the screen. To get the unit to work, I have to unplug it and plug it in again. The screen stays on for about 1/2 a day and the unit works perfectly and then the screen goes blank again. It seems like an odd problem. Is it the control panel? Is is a shielding problem? Is it something else? Can I replace the control panel myself? I repair computers. How would I find the part number and where would I buy it? Thanks for your help.
Im a technician computer also I can repair my self. Where can I found this part or can you send me this part because I leave in canada.
Thanks
This is a problem with the control panel assembly, which we commonly repair for $32.50. Feel free to e-mail me at _ for more information or visit _ for full details.

I have my daughter's Sharp R-340F 1200W microwave. The control panel doesnt work. When switching it off and back on, an 'L' starts flashing, gradually fades away to nothing. As the microwave otherwise works well (the little I have used it), I would appreciate a user guide and manual (poss a cookbook as well?) for this model. (Other microwaves I've had have been other brands and slightly less wattage). I cant seem to find a manual for this particular model on the net.
Where can i found the part
