No sync When i put the disc in it it loads up as normal and u get the playstation sign at the start then it says No Sync at the top of the screen and does'nt load up ?but this only happens with Fifa 09 and Singstar

When the controller is not synchronized with the PlayStation, the 4 LEDs flash. If the PlayStation is not turned on they'll flash if you happen to power the controller on. Press the PS (PlayStation) button on the controller to cause it to sync with the unit. If that does not work try plugging the USB cable into the PlayStation and into the controller to charge the internal batteries for a while and see if a full charge will help - if the radio signal is too weak coming from the controller it won't sync. If all that fails, try another controller if you have one and see if it does - could be a bad controller. Also you can go into the PlayStation settings in the controller section and tell the unit to "forget" old controller settings and start fresh. Handy to look at the PlayStation interface on the TV screen when you are trying to sync a wonky controller to see if the unit will give you any indication of a sync failure or something similar.

Important Note!
Do Not use "One-Time Mode" sync.
Syncing can be completed only if a compatible game disc is running in the console.The Wii Balance Board may need to be synced to each compatible game individually.Some games may require you to go into a specific screen to sync the Wii Balance Board.These sync settings will be saved even after the console is turned off.
1. Insert a Wii Balance Board compatible game disc in the Wii console.2. Use the Wii Remote to select the Disc Channel from the Wii Menu, then select "Start" to begin the game.3. Open the SD Card slot cover on the front of the Wii console.4. Remove the Battery Cover on the bottom of the Wii Balance Board.
5. Press and release the SYNC button on the Wii Balance Board. The Power LED on the board will start blinking.
6. Press and release the SYNC button on the console while the Power LED on the board is still blinking.7. The Power LED will stop blinking and light steadily once the synchronization is complete.8. Replace the battery cover and return the board to the normal operating position.

Holding the sync button on the console as per other forums didnt work initially, so did it loads of times:
Had the disc loaded that caused problem, held sync button on the console and powered off and on still holding the button on. Powered off each time the error screen came back up while all the time holding the sync button on the sixth attempt it went past error screen and up to dashboard.
I went to load disc again and it asked me for update again so chanced it, this time it extracted update ok and then rebooted to dashboard ok.
Console now running fine, oh and Assassins Creed was the game that caused the initial update error, and Assassins Creed was the disc that I used in the multiple reboots which eventually cleared update fault.
Hope this helps as no other info on web that I could find.

my freind never again use your household vacuum cleaner to clean anything with electronics it generates a supper amount of ESD electro static discharge this blows electronic boards you are going to have to invidually check the components in your PC in another pc and hope that no expensive bits are blown good luck

Try reflashing the firmware for your device you can find the latest firmware and flashing utilities from the manufacturer?s website. Make sure that you back your music up first because when you do this you are setting it back to factory settings. Then following the following the instruction about loading it throuh Windows Media Player: Connect your MP3 player to the computer using the USB cord. Open the Windows Media Player program. When you open the program, your device will be recognized through the "Sync" button on the tool bar that runs across the top of the page. Click on the "Sync" button. To the right a column will appear which says "sync list" at the top. Below the sync list it will say "Drag items here to create sync list." Your library is located in the middle part of the screen. (Your playlists and library listings are in a column to the left.) To select the songs you wish to transfer, simply click on the song and literally drag it over to the listing on the right. When your mouse is over the column, the text will lighten, and a small box with a plus sign will appear. When this happens, let up off the mouse button. The new song will be listed in the sync list. When you have a listing of all the songs you wish to ad, click on the "Start sync" button near the bottom of the column. You will be taken to another screen which will have a listing of the songs you want to add. The computer will sync the songs to the device. When the synchronization is complete, the sync device column will return to the right of the screen. A message will appear letting you know that it is ok for you to disconnect your device. When you unplug the device, the MP3 player should flash a message that says, "Creating (or configuring) library."

Done try to sync...... u see the options when u connet ipod....just put the ipod in to disc mode. and then just drag mp3 tracks u want to load on your ipod......... doing sync will just update from itunes which ever songs listed....... its better to drag and load songs in your ipod..... for that u need to put ipod in to disk mode.... hope this help u.

take some alchol and a couple of swabs and put some alchol on the swab and clean out the disk tray but dont stick it in to 2 far take it out once u fill a little pressure.

The software will most likely not install on Vista and if it does it will probably fail to run correctly. However the software isn't necessary to be able to put music on the player. Just start Windows Media Player and go to the Sync screen. You'll see the Sync button in the top right. You'll see that it splits WMP into two fields, on the right is the sync list and on the left is the library of songs. All you have to do is drag the songs you want from the library on the left to the sync list on the right where it says "Drag items here to create a list to sync" and then click start sync. It will then begin copying the songs to the player.
