The reason the machine is coming up with E20 when drying.
is that there is a blockage of fluff in the dryer air duct on the right hand side of the machine just below the fan unit.
the air that goes through this duct is heated and returns back to the tub to dry the clothes. because there is a blockage in this duct the fan pushes air up the pressure switch tubes and fools the machine in to thinking that there is too much water in the drum,
too remove this blockage you have to disconnect the power supply, remove the lid and remove the back panel, 4 screws at the bottom + 4 up top under the lid.
plull the water pipe with the valve out of the way and pull back panel away.
you should now see the dryer condensor unit blocked up with fluff. remove this unit and clean with bottle brush.
replace and make sure hoses are done up tight. replace back panel and lid, try again on drying and things should be alot better, drying should be alot quicker as well.
In some models of the Lavamat Turbo (maybe only the Euopean ones?), there is no back panel mentioned by mediarich, but the whole back half of the lavamat is one piece of metal instead.
To remove this, you have to follow these steps:
- remove ALL screws that you can find at the back side
- take the top lid away
- when you look inside, you can see some kind of steal beam at the top; remove the first two screws (from backside view) that are in this beam at each side
- remove the white plastic screw covers at the SIDE bottom of the lavamat (one each side)
- remove the screws that are under the white plastic covers (one each side)
- remove the plastic holder at the top that contains the water pipe and the cable (it is only clicked in, you can remove it with your fingers)
->pull the whole back half of the housing backwards
In my case, the dryer condensor unit was at the LEFT side (some kind of transparent/white plastic).
This maschine sucks! Usually, AEG/Electrolux stands for quality, but with this mascine it ist the opposite, really.
The door plastic lock part broke after only a few months (Fixed it with a gas solder and a couple of thin nails through the plastic door and the broken part).
The common E20 error code came a few weeks later, due to the pump itself (the bearings in the "propeller" housing have a lousy quality). The guarantee was out, of couse. Now it works again (at least the most of the time). well. it was a "cheap" machine, so what could I await......

I wasn't able to manage this. I removed all the screws, but wasn't able to pull the back panel away, it seem to be one piece. Can anybody help?
thanks, Haik
