Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Windows Photo Gallery or Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

My sony dsc wx7 shows E:62:10

Hi, Error messages can be found at https://www.sony.com.au/electronics/support/articles/00008857. E:62:10 has nothing to do with the LCD but is a generic error of the stabilizer. This is a very well known problem that happens a lot and still today with Sony camera's. After less than 3 years of use the stabilizer breaks down, making it impossible to take sharp pictures, and displaying the dreaded E:62:10 error message. Thousands of users on the Internet have the same problem, read the website http://sony-e-62-10.atspace.cc/ or search E:62:10 on the Internet or on YouTube. A temporary solution could be available at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S53D3EfDVk0

How to switch language on japanese or chinese to english for my sony dsc-wx1 cybershot?!

Press the MENU button to display the menu. Use down to select the toolbox, then press O (that's the center button on the multiselector). Use the cursor keys to select the wrench and hammer, then press O. Select the second item on that menu--that should be "Language". One of the choices should say "English" in English. Select that one and press O.

Press MENU to exit the menu.

Sony Cybershot DSC-W35 Camera doesn't detect the USB cable

You dont need the disc to download to computer.Take the card from the camera and put it into the card reader on your computer if one is fitted, if not you need one that goes into a USB slot When the card is inserted into the reader a box will open on the screen with several options as to view images or download them.

I would also download Picasa 3 which puts your photos in date order and also has photo editing. This is a free download and is part of google.

Displays file error message when trying to playback still images and video footage

Did you take the card and insert into computer/device to view photos?

Viewing photos can alter the format of the photos thereby preventing your camera from reading them.

I viewed some photos and rotated a few photos and my camera no longer recognizes the format.

good luck

Twain error message w/ cybershot dsc-f505

do you use a card reader? or do you connect the cam to your pc to download the pics? best way to transfer the images to the pc is a card reader, but some readers wont accept a memorystick with "lock" turned off, so for example if you have a 128MB memorystick, turn write protect on. switch to "off" position (it is a small switch on the stick) then the card reader will "see" the stick, but erasing and writing is not possible with the pc...
