Wheres reset button on sony

I'm glad to provide the information about the Camera. The Camera does not have a RESET button to press manually to reset it.

If you wish to reset the Camera, you can use the Initialize option from the Menu item to perform it if the Camera is allowing it.

Please perform a power resetting if the Camera is not turning ON or you're unable to access the Menu items. Please follow the below steps to perform a power resetting
  • Remove the battery from Camera.
  • Press and hold the Power button for more than 15 seconds.
  • Reinsert the battery
  • Turn ON the Camera.

Thanks for understanding. Please let me know if you require further assistance.

Hello! I have problems with my flash. Untill yesterday, when I take photos they make multiple light on exposure objects, but not anymore. Now, wheni I turn on automatically flash sometimes it not work

Perhaps you only changed the settings. As long as you are on automatic, and don't force the flash off, the flash should work when needed. The multiple flash you mention, is the flash used to avoid red eyes. With the first flash(es) the eye closes the pupil, so ref;action of the retina is minimal. Sometimes the camera also uses the returning flash light to fine tune the focus, if on auto focus. Just check if the camera is in the setting you always used. Just check if you have the best results with this setting.

Turn power off again

Turn off the camera, remove the batteries from the camera and wait a few minutes. Replace the batteries and turn the camera on. If still not working, reset the device with either the reset button or thru the settings menu.

My lens is all blurry

Question is, Is your lens blurred,or are all your pictures blurred? If you can see the front of the lens is really dirty, you could try to clean it with a lens pen. One side has a soft brush to remove the dust and perhaps other debris. Please try to remove debris with a little presuerd air. If only smear is left on the lens, you than can use the other end of a lens pen. It has a very soct pad, with wich you than can remeove smear. If the lens looks ok, please don't touch it.Perhaps you don't take enough time to let the camera focus on the subject. When making a picture, press the shutter release button half, till he AE/AF indicater flashes and you hear a beep, then you can press down and make the picture. If you are making pictures without a steady hand, pictures also can come out blurred. Special when there is little light avalible. Then choise a higher ISO.I hope this helps. You still can fine the manual online.

Camera connection error

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Hello

Thank you for using FIXYA!!!

This is a suggestion. If you do not feel comfortable trying it, you will need to take the unit to your nearest service centre. Feel free to let me know if you need any assistance.

The problem might be that the lens has become stuck in the barrel. There are some DIY solutions you could try, but the probability is that you will have to get it fixed by a professional.

Use these at own risk as it may further damage the camera.

Firstly , try connecting your ac adapter or usb cable.

Try holding the shutter button while switching on the camera.

Look at the lens , and if some of the lens 'circles' is misaligned or not concentric then try wiggling it (while holding camera lens down).

Try gently pushing or pulling the lens when it extends but this is risky as it may cause the lens barrel to slip out of its guidance system.

Another way to do this is to place the camera lens down on a hard surface and then power it up. Be sure to use a soft cloth or something similar as to not scratch your lens or casing. Let the lens push the camera up and down a few times and sometimes the little resistance provided by the camera is enough to get things going again.

Try hitting your camera near the lens on the body with the soft tissue on the palm of your hand.

Other than that , I would take the camera to a repair centre for a evaluation to see if it would cost more to repair than to replace the camera.

If it is still under warranty I would suggest you take it in before trying any of these steps and remove any off-brand batteries or accessories as some stores are really fussy about warranty repairs on camera's with non-brand accessories.

You can also have a look at THIS link.

Hope the advise is useful. please do not hesitate to let me know if you need any further assistance. Also, please be so kind to let me know if you found this helpful.

Regards
Andrea
