20 Most Recent Gaggenau EB 270/271 Electric Single Oven Questions & Answers

Our upper oven lock motor has failed. Gaggenau/Bosch indicates no part is available. The lower electric lock appears to be available. Will it work on the top oven? Is there a way to bypass the lock so the oven functions?

We have a Gaggenau BO250/251. It gave error code E005, and after a lot of frustration, we opened the left hand light (NOT the light at the top of the owen) and fiddled a little with the bulb. And voila, the owen worked again. Stupid design to disable the owen when the light does not work. Bravo, Gaggenau....

usually a key symbol means that the appliance is safety locked. usually by holding down a button for 3-5 seconds to lock and holding down the same button to unlock. a child lock safety feature.

I do not think there is a master fuse like on US built ovens. Power goes directly to the controls

Set the oven to pyro clean, let run for 5 mins, switch selector dial to off, leave for approx 10 mins and the door lock should deactivate
