Plug in for downloaded ringtone

You can't actually do that.
If you have the original version Katana, the 6600, it's only plays polyphonic ringtones, in the qualcom format of QCB.
Freeringers.net has a good help section if you sign up with them, here's a cut and paste version.

You basically need a program to convert an mp3 to a wav file format. (like dbpower amp but there are many others, alot of them freeware).
Sound recorder on your computer applications, to pick a segment and crop the audio. Usually about 30 to 60 seconds is good enough. There's a file limit size on the Katana for downloads of about 100kb.
And a converter program that will convert wav to qcb. You can download an application from Qualcom Communications for free, or this little program called purevoice.
http://www.freeringers.net/apps/pvconv.exe
All you do is little drag the wav file over this application and it automatically compiles in about 3 seconds, a qcb file into the same folder.
http://www.qctconnect.com/products/purevoice_downloads.html
Provides the full version of purevoice convertor so you can listen to the quality of the qcb file.

You'll need an application to convert the MP3 or CD to a WAV file. We suggest this free tool:
dBpowerAmp Converter 10.1 (Download and install it)

You'll also need PureVoice for QCP conversion:
PureVoice Converter (No installation. Right click "Save Target As...")

If you're running Windows Vista you'll need the Windows XP version of Sound Recorder:
Sound Recorder (Right click link, "Save Target As...", save to "C:\Windows\System32\")

s_win.gif Conversion Steps:

Note: If you want to rip a song from a CD, replace step 1 with these instructions.
  1. We'll assume you're converting a file named "test.mp3" for this guide. Insert your own file name instead. Run dBpowerAmp and select the "test.mp3" file and click "Open".
  2. Change the drop downs to "Wave", "16 Bit (CD)", "8000 Hz", "1 'Mono'", Output To: "Folder", and "Browse" to select your "Desktop".
  3. Click "Convert >>" and once it's completed click "Finished" and you'll have a file named "test.wav" on your Desktop.
  4. Run Sound Recorder (included with Windows) and from the "File" menu "Open..." the "test.wav" file created in step 3. (if you can't find Sound Recorder, see Needed Applications above)
  5. Shorten the ringtone to 30 seconds or less. You can also crop it so it starts at the beginning of the choirs. To crop the audio clip, use the "Edit" menu to "Delete Before Current Position" or "Delete After Current Position". [?]
  6. Click the "File" menu and select "Save" which will overwrite the "test.wav" file.
  7. Grab and drag the icon for "test.wav" and drop it on top of the PureVoice icon "pvconv". It will convert and create a new file named "test.qcp", almost like magic.

Connect your Phone to Data Cable (that came with your Phone, if didn't you'll have to go to a Computer or Phone Shop to buy it), then connect your Cable to your Dell Computer. In seconds, you'll find your Phone's Memory Card being displayed in list of Removable Storage of your Computer (In Computer or My Computer Folder). Open it and select the Photos you want to be copied onto your Dell computer and then press Ctrl + C (Or right click anyone of the photos, after selecting all the desired photos and click copy), then choose a location on your Computer where you want to accommodate your Photos and press Ctrl + V, or right click and click Copy. For more information you may see User's Operation Manual of your Phone.
