Hi,
dispite the error, you should be able to enter the service mode.
Procedure for service mode is:
- press * ( additional functions - user mode )
- press 2
- press 8
- press * ( additional functions - user mode )

Then choose COPIER, then under FUNCTION screen is CLEAR.

But you only can try to clear the error like E000, E001, E002 and E003.

Wich error code is apearing on display?

Hello,
First of all You need to clean the laser unit and beneath the copy glass and lenses inside.
Second of all if cleaning doesn't help's try with cleaning the developing roller and replace the drum unit and transfer roller.

A E-846 is a problem with the scanning lamp calibration. To resolve the problem you can do one of two things. First you will have to replace the scanning lamp & the scaner inverter PCB as a pair with the up-dated version PCB. Or if you have a parts machine, you can use a working scanning lamp with the PCB and replace them as a set or pair. You can not use a lamp from one copier and a pcb from another.. They have to be a matched set... Good Luck

Did you press additional funcation? You have to in order to get in to service mode. Then go to copier, then funcation, then CLR/ Clear, then ERR, the hit the OK on the display, then turn the main power switch OFF then back ON. It should reset the code, if not you have a problem with the fixing unit.

It's probably a sheet of paper between the main body and finisher

Hello romdos. This forum"FIXYA" takes a dim view of peple like me who try to help people. Unless the help I provide is ironclad perfect advice. But they can kick my "rating' of expertise down a notch or two. I prefer helping folks if I can. :-) I see two potential problems with your scenario. First, Adobe Reader 8 is so far been notoriously problematic as they basically pushed out this new version with a smile on their face saying "they will find a way it work" referring basically to the rest of the world's app and software providers. Second, and you may be ahead of me on this, The Canon 2200 is .....well..... right their on the cusp of being called old.3 years is almost an eternity when it comes t technology.But Canon it great about maintaining support as far as updating their print drivers The possible sticking point is the part that requires a technician to come in and hook his laptop up and updating the FIRMWARE on the device itself. This, as you may know,is the instruction set the copier uses to interpret the commands and data it recieves,and to accurately respond to those commands. As new applications arise and commands and requests are made that no software engineer could have possibly anticipated when the copier was introduced to market , a service tech must go in and "flash" (reprogram) the copier so it knows how to handle/respond data and commands that could never have been anticipated. So we have new versions of programs, new potential capabilities,new drivers that should be loaded by the end user, and the distinct possibility that a technician may need to install a new operational program that gives the copier definitions and answers to questions that did not exist mere months ago. The answer to your question, Im afraid is not simple. If you choose to critique my answer to you question I encourage you to be honest,but leave mu nuts in tact .I have told you the truth,but I could not "fixya". But I bet I explaimed the big picture better than alot of these knottheads who cherry pick customer's question to make sure they get a good grade. I just hope I heped ya. this is pertaining to ckt board controller problem, and we need to coordinate this with canon service for the replacement.

there is no corona wire but a primary charging roller pls clean it if both ends of the roller looks rough or cracky try replacing it and clean transfer roller as well.

hi the solution is : E000 0000 : Description: Startup error
The temperature detected by the mainor sub thermistor does not rise to the specified value during startup control.
Solution:
- Check the fixing film connector.
- Replace the fixing film unit.
- Replace the DC controller PCB.

It has to do with your network. Call your IT person to repair it.

E000001-0002 refers to the fuser assy either getting to hot or not hot enough. Fuser error codes cannot be reset by power cycling the machine even though that is what the display tells you to do. In order to reset the fuser error code you must enter the service mode & reset the code. To enter the service mode: press"Additional Functions" button (looks like a picture of a head with a star inside) press the #2 and #8 at the same time (simultaneousley) press "additional functions" again The display should show a choice of copier,feeder,sorter,fax,or board service modes Select copier select clear select ERR press OK Turn power off & back on. ****IMPORTANT**** After clearing error stay at the machine to see if it comes to ready. The fuser assy can reach 139 degrees C.(Water boils @ 100C) The error can only be cleared through the service mode because a technician should inspect the fuser to verify there is nothing faulty that could possibly start a fire. If you enter the service mode & clear the error, power cycle the machine & during warm up the machine throws a code again- turn it off, unplug it & call a tech for fuser repair. Good Luck!!
