Error Code ( E-23 )--------Clean the LID LOCK sensor,its almost located where you can see the LID LOCK came OUT and IN or Moving--which is functions to LOCK and UNLOCK the door cover ( Symptom ++ the LID LOCK will moving OUT and IN),open all the cover ,take out the LID LOCK sensor,open the LID LOCK sensor case until you can reach the COPPER connector which is act as the SWITCH .CLEAN the COPPER with paper sand or anything possible but not to damage the copper.After all put it back to the place intact.Hope it work,Mine worked with this procedure.+++++Toshiba AW-SD120S COST=== FREE OF Charge ( Do It Yourself )

a PAU is just saying the machine quit, unplug it from the wall for a minute and plug it back in, it may reset, let me know

My affinity atf8000fs1 won't fill with water. I replaced the inlet valve, pressure valve, Main board and power board and door switch. Same result. It starts, locks door, I hear clicks as if it is cycling to next phase, but water does not fill the tub. This is a front load model. Anything missed before I part it out?

Ef2 could mean the vent hose is blocked or has come off.Slide it out from the wall and make sure the hose is ok.Hope this helps.

Replace the door lock, takes about 10 mins. Just replaced mine. Ordered it from Amazon for less than 40.00. You take the top off and unscrew the lock from the front. Reach in and pull up, unplug old one, plug in new one. put new one back in the holes, screw it in tight. Put the top back on and your done. Don't forget to unplug it before you start.

Hello - There are several things that could cause the fabric softener to not dispense into the washer. Are you sure the liquid in the dispenser after the wash is fabric softener? If it is fabric softener, the solenoid that lets the water into the dispenser is not working. This solenoid is located on the back of the dispenser. It only gets voltage during the dispense time and fills the fabric softener dispenser with water. The fabric softener dispenser fills while the washer is filling for the rinse cycle.

When the washer begins to fill for the rinse cycle, the fabric softener solenoid is energized and water flows into the fabric softener dispenser cup. When the cup is full the water siphons out and softener and water flow into the tub.

If the liquid in the fabric softener dispenser is pure softener you may need a technician to diagnose and repair the problem. The voltage will have to be tested to the softener solenoid and a volt meter is required.

If the liquid in the fabric softener dispenser is water you probably need to clean the dispenser cup. **** will build up in the siphon tube and stop the liquid from going into the washer tub. The incoming water will dilute the softener and overflow the dispenser cup and run into the tub. The instructions for cleaning the dispenser should be located on page 43 of the use and care guide that came with the washer.

If you don't have the use and care guide these instructions will help. Open the dispenser until it stops. In the left rear corner of the dispenser, there is a release that is labeled push. Press down on the push area and you can slide the dispenser drawer out.

Remove the insert from the bleach and fabric softener compartments. Clean the bottom of the insert and the bleach and fabric softener compartments. Reinstall the insert and put the drawer back inside the washer.

To test the siphon action slowly pour water into the fabric softener compartment. When the water level goes above the maximum line stop pouring. The water should all drain out.

before buying anythings, you have too check the manual too see if you didn't put it in factory test mode by accident. the manual is suppose to be under the top,(two screws on the back)
After that, second thing you have too do, remove the back (six screws) the drain pump is located under the the baril. there is a black rubber tube attached to it. In this tube, there is a basket that keed hard thing away from the pump. In my case, some hair pin pass the basket and block the pump rotor. The computer of the machine told me it was Error E23 but after cleaning, everything work like new!!

So try cleaning it yourself, it is easy even with basic skill. You will need a star screwdriver, a scare-screw driver, pliers.

Remember, better have the machine empty before doing anything, because you'll be working on the DRAIN LINE.

If the PAU error does not clear after properly restarting the washing machine cycle, push "Cancel," then disconnect the power cord. Wait a few minutes and restore power to see if the error code goes away. If not, the control board may need to be replaced.

I just tried all manner of bending, pushing and prying the drum baffle. Can't get it to move. I'm thinking I need to break it to clean behind it then install a new drum baffle. At $49.35 plus tax and shipping I'll leave the coins there for now.

Grease and oil can take many forms, ranging from automotive lubricants to greasy foods to oily toiletry items, and, over a period of time, these oils can accumulate and become trapped in various parts of the machine, particularly in the door seal of front-loading machines. Run an empty cycle with HOT water and a detergent that contains bleach to remove grease and oil from the appliance. First check to make sure that the lint filter, the ducting, and the outside vent, are clear of lint and not constricted in any way. It's the timer control, not the motor or filter. Try a different setting. You should also be able to find more information on the manufacturers website, along with a manual and possibly a diagram. Also You Tube is a good place to find out more on how to repair it.

You need to lean it back and remove the lower panel, you will have complete access to the water pump, disconnect hose clamps,remove and clean the rubber boot,disconnect electrical connector and 2 screws holding pump, Replace with new pump, before beginning take pictures to ensure proper installation

I would give it back and enact the warranty.
