I had the same issue. I plugged and unplugged the cooker any number of times and pushed every button. Display only showed SEl X. Hoping for a reset, I left the cooker plugged in overnight. It did reset itself and is working perfectly now. The program buttons work, and it heats up immediately. There is no practical explanation or logical steps. I hate throwing things away. Never give up!

Check for power at outlet. Then check for power at heating coil. If there and still not working the heating element is gone.

They don't have fuses they have thermal cutoffs. It would be located at the heater. You'll just have to try to take it apart to find it. Purchase a cutoff from any electronics supply shop in your area.

Sounds like you have a short some place, and it needs to be replaced.

The answer to your question is yes. See page 3 for a diagram which shows how the lid gasket fits around the inner outside edge of the lid. Do not however block the vent holes.

Believe or not, go to your local Goodwill Store! They have tons of crocks and the lids and the cookers separate frm each other that have been donated becase one of the pieces was broken and they donated the rest of the pieces. Lids and crocks typically range from $1.99 to $5.99 and you benefit your community at the same time.

No the probe is only used when cooking to a certain temperature and using it on the temperature setting... the manualn works great without the probe...

U can not get a spare or a replacement for the lid, But u will only have to fix it urself. U can use Araldite to fix it, its a 2 paste tube u have to mix it proportionately and apply on the cracks carefully.

YES AND NO the crock cooks around 275 degrees but thats only in the center of the crock the top rim is more like 150 degrees and even at that temp a lot of them crack . so if you plan to keep something warm in it ,in the oven keep it to 200 degrees ........please rate this answer if it helped, 3 or 4 stars .and keep me in the paid department . a 1 or 2 will knock me off the air . thanks
