Sony DSC-T10 Cybershot vibration problem

I have the same problem with my Sony T-10. I brought it to a Laker game and it started vibrating in shoot mode. I think because it was so loud during the game when I did try to take a picture, it came out blurry. I shook it a couple of times and it went back to normal. I tried to take a picture in the car and at home, no vibration. I tried it in a night club, where it was loud...and the vibration came back.
There is a sensor in the camera that cannot focus on shooting under loud environment. I took the camera back to best buy for repair...and they said they have heard of such a problem. This is an internal damage inside that needs repair.

I have a flashing E:62:10

Hi Rajesh,I have come across this problem earlier , and would seems as a weird thing to do but works, what you need to do , is remove the batteries and hit on the side of the camera with your palm and then try to put the batteries back in and then restart the camera , if that does not work , you need to get it done via the service center as this problem is associated with a gear of the lens and can be corrected by professional tools.Hope that helps ...:)

T10 kept vibrating and show E:62:10?

On Sony T100 and similar,
its the vibration canceling unit, i had the same problem.
if you have good hads you can fix it.( on your oun risk)
1) disasamble the camera, you will see black plastic box inside, this is he lens unit.
2) on the botom you see 2 scrwes, they are holding the CCD remove them and the ccd unit will come from the lens assembly
3) the next is the stabilizer unit it is the problematic one. it is located on the left side of the lens asebly and is held by 2 screws.
you can test it by puling out the cable connected to it (the conector is just under the lens) and verifign that the problem is solved. ( you can leave it this way it will shoot fine just without the anti shake)
4) to fix it take it out ,remove the plastic cover, you see the lens on a plastic mount it should be glued to the magnet under it. the problem is that the glue fals apart.
remove one of the pins on wich it slides, and take the lens and the magnet out.
5) reglue the magnet and reasemble the camera.
6) power up and test, for me that solved the problem

if you need more help you can mail me at adisarit(et)yahoo(dot)com
this is spam mail so be prepared to wait a few days for reply.
this was tested and worked on 2 additional cammeras

Blinking notice on screen E:62:10

E:62:10 means one of the flat cables is loose that leads to the imaging module. Remove the battery and memory card. Remove the five screws and open the camera by lifting the front off. There will be a black plastic sheet lightly glued slightly to the tight of center. This covers two connectors for flat connectors. each has a tiny black hinged bar that can be popped uo with a small flat blade. Then slide the connecter as deep in the socket as possible. Snap the retaining bars back down and replace the black plastic insulator. Reassemble camera.

While you have the camera open canned air can be used to get any lint or dust out of the camera while it its open.

What settings for underwater photos

Most camera's are not made to shoot under water. One of the most important things is an extended possibility for the white balance. Most DSC-T camera's only have some standard settings here, for daylight, cloudy and some light sources, like incandescent and fluorescent. So even when you have a under water housing, you can't setup the camera for shooting under water. Sorry. Try a ruggedised camera, they are not that expensive and have everything you want.
