you can download the pictures in a very easy way by using a card reader. buy one and take the memory card out of the camera and put it inside the reader.

format the SD card from computer and then insert it Camera. Now see . if not reading then try other card. If the other card not read by camera then its a camera firmware fault.

re format you memory card in camera it should be in menu then settings then memory try it

I had the same problem with my flash not working on any setting, but I found a way to fix it: hit the menu button, make sure the "rec mode" choice is set to normal instead of burst. I think the burst mode takes multiple shots in a row, so the flash isn't compatible with that setting?

If the lines are on the display all the time, but you can't see any line on any picture when you view it on a computer, the display is defect. If you can live with that, leave it that way, because most of the time a repair can cost as much as a new camera. If you try to make a picture in the dark and one or more strong lights are in the frame, that can cause white lines too, but they will be gone, as soon as you are in normal light again.

Yellow and white pins cable is called AV Cable, it is to hook camera with TV. It wont hook camera with computer.
You need USB cable to connect camera with computer. Required USB cable is available in Sony Accessories Store under following part number..

No! it is not designed to work in that fashion, you need an open source web cam to do the job.

I would try to plug in your usb cord to the camera and computer and then disconnect it after.. that should reset it.
