These messages: SUDS OR BLOCKED PUMP DOOR CANNOT

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

I would suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters. The motor is unable to drain all of the water in the allotted time.
Here are my complete, general pre-typed guidance notes for checking filters and motors ;-0)
-------------------------------------
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and held in by a round cover/knob.

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!

It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!

Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!

Hi,

I can only suggest you have it fixed by a service engineer as it's not something which is normally carried out by a householder. I would also think that it would be cheaper than buying a new machine.

Whan washing a full load of towels the washer does

Its being overloaded, most washers have an out of balance spin control which prevents the spin cycle if it cant balance the load, its to help protect the bearings. Hope this helps

Wont start cycle no text on led display red screen

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

Based on your description and on my experience, you likely have a faulty control unfortunately.

I can send you instructions on how to perform a test cycle to determine what the exact fault is if you can hang tight until I get to my primary PC in 3-4 hours.

Let me know if if you want the diagnostic info and I'll post it here later. The control is typically a $300USD part, but is rarely at fault...but yours sounds like it is.

I'll watch for your reply.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

Flashing End light. Have slightly

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Had the same, or actually worse, problem with our Bosch, cap would not even turn!
Suggestions-
pour anticalc/limescale fluid into any gap there is around the cap. Empty the machine and you can switch it off providing the door is open! Then pour the contents of at least 2 sachets of proprietary anticalc powder/liquid into the drum direct together with a kettle full of boiling water. Leave overnight at the very least. The following day run just a spin cycle as then there will be no water diluting the mix. This mix will go through the filter and motor and is likely to help release the filter/cap. If you feel like it, do the overnight again. If nothing else it will ensure that the heater element is clean!
I had to spend a couple of hours gently turning the cap back and forth until it finally released its hold- but the filter did not remain attached to the cap by its rubber ring. More patience, anticalc fluid and all was revealed!
I now run an anticalc clean regularly............which reminds me..............!

Good luck!

I have a Bosch Nexxt Premium front load washer.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Unless your machine is perfectly stable and doesn't move, especially when spinning, damage can occur to the internal support mechanism- concrete/springs/dampers.
Following is a copy of my Word document to assist! Note my last comment ;-0(
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Doesn't matter whether it is empty or not but switch it off then-
very firmly push one front corner diagonally into the centre of the machine (sorry about my UK spelling!) and see if the machine moves or rocks AT ALL, even the slightest. If it does you will need the open-ended spanner which came with the (new) machine........which of course went missing a long time ago?!! An adjustable spanner will suffice.
Adjust the foot under that corner downwards until it is very firmly- almost pushing- against the floor but not so far that the corner lifts up!
If this corner did not rock do the same to the other.
Once you cannot rock the machine the slightest little bit, screw the locking nuts up tight to the underside of the machine so that they will not move. Ideally the rear feet should also be locked.

If this has not cured the problem it is possible that the internal drum suspension is malfunctioning.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Good luck,

John C

Trying to get manual for used washer I purchased.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

You will need to type into your search engine the '(make) washer manual' and you should be presented with a number of sources from which you can either download a manual for free or have to pay a nominal amount. During the process you will be asked for the actual model number!

Good luck,

The door is locked (makes a noise) how do I get it

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

Based on your post,
"the door is locked (makes a noise) how do I get it open" this is usually associated with a plugged drain or pump. It can also be a faulty lock, but less likely.

These are the steps I'd suggest you take to move forward...

**Unplug the washer from the wall or turn off the breaker before attempting any repairs**

Get some towels and if possible a wet/dry vac. If the machine drained, it won't be too bad. If your machine is stuck full of water, that sucks...hopefully you won't get too wet. ( maybe you`re lucky enough to be close to a floor drain )

  1. Locate the round door on the front of the machine (about 6" in diameter, lower right corner) macmarkus_26.jpg
  2. Find a drill bit or small screwdriver that fits in the hole in the round door.
macmarkus_30.jpg

3. Insert the bit into the hole in the door. It will push in a tab, it doesn't take much force. Rotate the hole (clockwise) to 6'oclock and it should come free. (the edges are very sharp so be careful...I usually cover the edges with electrical or duct tape or wear welders gloves).

4. Once the door is out of the way you'll be greeted by a 3-4" plastic cap with wings so you can unscrew it by hand or with the aid of pliers.

macmarkus_32.jpg

( you should also see a ring with a string attached, if you pull this the door should unlatch, but getting the water out first is usually a good plan )

macmarkus_31.jpg THIS RELEASES THE DOOR LATCH IF PULLED

There is a small collector lip at the bottom of the cap, that is where you can hold the wet/dry vac to catch the water. Unscrew slowly so you don't get flooded, until it is unscrewed all the way out

5. Now pull out the trap and visually inspect the inside of the pump as well as the filter/trap.

Hopefully you'll find the item/debris that initiated your post here.

macmarkus_29.jpg
6. After removing any debris or obstruction`s re-install the button trap/lint filter and plug the washer in to power or reset the breaker and give it a test.

7. Run a load and watch for leaks. Leave the pump access door off until you are sure you screwed the cap in tight and there are no leaks.

Let me know if you require further assistance and if not and this solves your problem, please rate the solution I provided accordingly.

Thank you for coming to "FixYa" and good luck.

Mold in door gasket, can

If you can put on a pair of gloves and get a new sponge and mix 1:1 of water and clorox. Go outside in a well ventilated area with the wind behind you. Take the sponge and wet without it dripping and wipe the gasket all over. In areas you can not reach pour a little solution and swirl it all through the channel. Let it stay outside in the sun and rinse generously before installing.

Best prevention is to remove the gasket every time you finish with your wash and make sure it gets air dry. The next best thing is to leave the front door open to dry the gasket. Hopefully you don't have a status light that comes on when the door is open. Good Luck

The washer got frozen which broke the cold water

And you replaced the water valve correct oo i just found this posted on a forum you may want to take a look at it http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/load/laundry/msg0716013026988.html it doesn't tell me if yours is the 800 for the make when i look up yr model number so basicly what you have to do is disconnect after the water valve where it goes into the machine to see if you have cold water going in to the machine because that model there saying heats the water to the lowest setting of 60 degrees read that link and message me back if you have any further questions and please remember when our chat is through to rank how this opinion has helped in your appliance situation thanks again
