Camera doesn't recognize lens cover...

I rednecked the crap out of mine. I pulled off the slide cover and placed a small piece of paper clip in the area of the copper to make a permanent contact. Then duct taped it secure and then cover the whole slide mechanism. I would not recommend this method but it worked.

Reinsert memory stick

Remove the memory stick, get a USB reader that will support that stick...then pull pictures off. Once that's completed, look at the memory stick's contacts, do they seem "dirty"? May need to use a soft pink eraser to get the oxidation off. Also, try compressed air in the camera to blow out any dust that is in there...don't use your compressor, pick up a can from Staples or something.

If you have access to a computer then download PCInspector for www.convar.com This will recover lost images on media card so long as they not been overwritten. How this works out with a PSP I would not know.

The charger of Dsc-t5 is blinking

Hi,

The supplied charger normally lights while charging and turn off when the battery is fully charged. If the battery charger is blinking, then issue may be with the battery not getting charged. I suggest that you try using a different battery and check if the issue is with the battery.

I can't transfer my pictures

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

How you can eliminate the

Hello and Welcome

The symptoms of this error is
  • After pressing the power button in capture mode, the lens would extend and a slight humming from what appeared to be the auto focus motor could be heard for about 5 seconds. When the motor stopped humming, the camera would beep and display E:61:00 in the LCD Screen.
  • Camera would extend the lens but not be able to focus on anything past 8 inches or so.
  • Zoom in and zoom out would not work.
  • Playback mode and the Setup mode was not affected.
To solve this
Put the camera about a half inch from a hard surface.
Let the lense go out and hit the surface and retract a little bit. Let it go out all the way when it tries the next time.
If that doesnt fix it, try this:
Turn it on and let the lense go out fully
See where the lens comes out of the camera? The little round crack that surrounds it? Wiggle the lense a bit and blow in there a bit. (Be sure not to blow on the lense!)

Now turn it off/on again, and it should be fixed

I am getting a E:61:00 error on my Sony T5.

amitchhab276:

From the user manual for your DSC-T5 (click here), that error message means:

E:61:xx E:91:xx
A camera malfunction has occurred. Initialize the camera (page 52), then turn the power on again.

From page 52: After you have cycled-power, you need to go to the Setup1 screen and select "Initialize" and choose "OK" with the up arrow and then press the circle button. Again press the up arrow and circle to select "OK" to reset the camera to default. settings.

Make sure that the power is not disconnected during reset!
