AEG L86800 Front Load Washer Questions & Answers
AEG Lavamat 86720 washing machine
Hello,
This means your water sensor has detected a leak. it will stop when the sensor is dry.
Try getting the water out of the trap door and letting the machine dry.
I would also unplug it for secirity reasons.
Basically your water pump is getting tired or the sensor is dirty. Try cleaning the sensor or else you may have to change the pump.

WE HAVE CHANGED THE OUT
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Sorry but I do not have the decode for EF0 your particular machine but in the same 'area' EF1 states 'drain filter blocked/kinked/too high, drain filter dirty/blocked and considering that you have recently changed the outlet (drain) hose I would suggest checking those items. In particular I would suggest that you check the drain motor lint tray/filter.
Here are my guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
-------------------------------------
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and most are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play!
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!
Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!

I have a AEG lavamat
Could be that the Inner Drum Spindle is broken, this is a 3 arm spider-ish bracket that holds the inner drum. To test this theory, see if you can lift the inner drum up & down from the door side, you will be able to feel if it is broken.
Hope this helps.

AEG oko Diplomat E Update
Error code E20 indicates that water cannot be pumped out of the machine. Possible causes:
- Sieve filter is blocked. Open the sieve lid, (lower right of machine) and clean.
- Drain tube bent or blocked. Check for bends and straighten the tube, open hose band clips and check inside for objects or dirt.
- Some small object (coin, children's toy, ...) blocks the drain pump. Pump needs to be dismantled and cleaned.
#1 and #2 you should be able to do yourself. With a little aptitude for repairs, you can do the fix #3 yourself, too. If you don't trust yourself to get all parts back together, let a service technician do the repair for you.
