I have an AEG Lavamat

You have a leak in the machine and water is accumulating in the base pan. Most likely this leak is a manufacturing issue or a transportation issue. Check to see where the leak is coming from under the machine. If in warranty call the dealer.

On an aeg lavamat washer dryer l12710 where is the filter for the dryer I have cleaned the front one for the washer ?/

If you go to www.aeg.co.uk and look under "service and support" you will see a box to insert your model number. I've put your model in and there's service manuals in several languages. Happy hunting.

Lavamat 12843 no power

Maybe a bit late by now noting your question date.. If you have L & N from supply through suppressor to pcb it could be board u/s but well worth checking for low insulation on elements as oddly this can cause the display not to light!. If you don't have a suitable meter disconnect all wires to elements and see if it works.

AEG Lavamat 1271 Turbo starts cycle but makes end

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Here are my complete and generic guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
This is symptomatic of a malfunctioning water control valve- the hot water one, if the washer is hot and cold fill, and the cold one if it is just cold fill! To find out which it is in the case of hot and cold fill turn the cold tap/faucet off overnight and see if water has come in or not. that will tell you. Also to check that it is just a physical problem and not a control board problem switch the machine off at the supply. If it still does it (from whichever supply) it is that valve which is not closing correctly ;-0
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

12710 drum dosenot spin

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
If it carries out the wash cycle OK I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Here are my complete guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
-------------------------------------

If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and most are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play!

You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning!
If these actions have not cured the problem, it could be the control board OR the main motor. Motors will show weaknesses when commanded to spin.

If this has assisted you please score accordingly.
Thanks and good luck!

E21 means a blockage in the drain pump. I would check the impeller spins freely. A coin from a pocket can cause that error as it gets stuck in the impeller.
