There is probably something caught inside the pump, or the pump impellor is worn or loose, either way, you will have to access the pump to determine the cause of noise.

First check the obvious.

Make sure water is connected and turned on.

Make sure timer is set to correct position.

If everything is hooked up properly (it probably is) then check your fill solenoid assembly.

That is probably your problem.

Obstruction, please take the whole soap compartment out and do better job with old tooth brush on the compartment in the sink and the machine itself. Should do it unless you live in very cold environment.

fit hoses at random. put on a rinse cycle. if cold water comes in then hoses are correct. if hot water comes in, then reverse hoses

Door not shut Check that the door is properly shut.Faulty interlock A faulty interlock might not allow the door to shut properly. Find your door interlock here and replace, or contact a qualified repairer.
No power Check the flex, plug wiring, fuse and mains supply for faults.
Faulty on/off switch Check the power light if fitted. Replace your on/off switch.
Water supply disconnected or off If a washer dryer cannot load water it cannot start a wash cycle. Check water supply.

Having worked for AEG for over ten years, the fault is a faulty dispenser unit ( top of soap draw) only fix is to replace the unit ( cost approx £45)

e20 means cant drain i usually found itsufficient to clean filter and restart but this time i blew down waste pipe /drain,cancelled program and reset

yes you r going right just you can continue.but after removing the screws just check out for rthe plastic locks that r holding the distributor.

it could be the drum bearings going

we had a similar problem(45mins) we were about to purchase a new one when by sheer luck i noticed the on/off socket(not plug) above worktop was buzzing, pulled machine out put in different socket and has been ok since. Try it, it could help.

it helps the motor to turn, it is sometimes called the starting capacitor and some are called running capacitor..
all capacitor used in drive motors are used to start the drive motors.

I would say the doorlock switch is faulty

It seems that your problem is with the lid switch and it should be replaced. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. You have to raise the top of the washer to get to the switch. Good luck!

must be an earth fault within the machine. suspect a burned out wire or switch. possibly carbon dust within the motor. take the top off the machine & have a look at the wireing loom.
