AEG LW1250 Front Load Washer Questions & Answers
My washer is not spinning
Check the brushes on the motor. They should be at least 15mm long. Remove back panel, and remove motor (watch the wiring orientation). Then remove the brushes. If they need replacing get new ones and then blow out the entire motor from the carbon dust created by the brushes with compressed air.
LW1250 goes thru cycle but drum does not turn, new
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
(this is my standard, pre-typed response to this sort of problem, sorry)
It does sound as if the motor requires replacement unless it is the control board not powering the motor.
Now, a word or two of advice from a retired Englishman in SW France. It might be suggested that just the brushes on the motor want changing; experience (of others) suggests that they may only last months rather than many years UNLESS the motor itself is refurbished. Refurbishment includes skimming the commutator on which the brushes run. Without skimming the brushes do not sit cleanly on the com, often causing excessive sparking and excessive wear on BOTH. Alternately a new motor! I changed the motor on our 19+ year-old Bosch at a cost of GBP250 ;-0(
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Remove the line to the water level sensor, release the vacuum and it might solve. Also check inlet and drain blocks.
If the
water flows though the inlet then the flow pressure should be good, if not the
inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the
inlet of the water line. Once the water comes into the system the WATER LEVEL
SENSOR - normally a pressure switch- must activate at the preset/chosen level
to give the signal to the program controller to switch on the motor. What is
most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must
be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor for
rinse and wash.
I have a aeg washer/dryer- it washes fine but then I have problems drying Any idea how I can solve this? problem
Please start with your clothes after the washer finishes it's washing cycle.
Take them out and see how dry they are.
They should be nearly dry.
If not, perhaps the reason you are having problems is they are too wet to begin with for the dryer to properly do it's job..
This is not a rare problem.
One possible reason for the clothes not to be dry when the washer finishes is a loose or worn out belt under the washer.
Another problem some washers have, particularly washer/dryer combos, is that they are sometimes not very effective.
In that case, either smaller loads or rerunning the spin cycle at the end of the washing cycle might help you.
God bless your efforts.
