Miele G646SC Plus dishwasher Drainage / inlet warning light

I had the same problem a few days ago. I followed the instructions to clean the filter and check to see that the impeller was free to rotate in both directions. The problem persisted. After reading this thread, and a similar one on another site, I tried what mikeboerma suggested in "solution #3", and bingo, problem solved. The magic combination is to push and hold the on/off button and the start/stop button.

My Miele dishwasher is not heating the water.

You would need to look at the wireing diagram and find out if there is any thermostats that I'm sure there are. You would need to find out if they are working properly.

Miele G 646 SC, Leaking.?

The dishwasher must be removed from the counter so you can gain access to the pump. I would check with a parts supply company first to see if the pump is still available, and the cost. It may be too expensive to repair a dishwasher that old. Removing the dishwasher is not very hard. Turn off the electrical breaker. detach the DW from the counter. Pull out. disconnect the water supply and drain. disconnect power supply if required.

Inlet/drain light remains on

I have the same problem on a Miele G647 SC Plus. It starts and completes the wash cycle, might skip a final rinse - not sure, but it drains the water. Pump then continues to run for extended period then inlet/outlet light comes on. The dishwasher never moves to the drying cycle.

I cleaned all filters, checked supply/drain hoses + the non return valve. All seemed servicable. But no real improvement in fault.

Any way I can fix this?

All lights flashing

Try powering off the machine using the main power switch for at least 10 seconds, then power back after holding down the top solo and start/stop simultaneously. You may need to check the drainage pipe and water inlet for blockages. Under the filter inside, you can remove part of the drainage system by removing the silver clip and pulling on the plastic segment. Wash this through, it has a lovely ball bearing inside, but don spend too long wondering how big it is. Big it is. Check the tubes, for kinks etc... Always disconnect the water supply before detaching the inlet, and be prepared for a mess, if you do decide to remove the drainage outlet pipe.
