E:61:10

Hi,

Error code E:61:10 means Zoom operations fault .

Remove the batteries from the camera, wait for 10 minutes, then put them back in and turn the camera on.If this does not work then try the compressed air. With a fine tip blow off the gun, and dry compressed air set the tip between the lens turret and the camera body and turn on the air while moving the tip around a the lens. It should remove all dust and sand. Turn the camera on and it should function as fine.

Secondly give a gentle tap on the sides of the camera and then switch on your camera, you will not get this error message as the internal mechanism which is stuck and causing this problem gets working properly.

Hope this helps.

The display screen shows images

Hi,
This is common problem of ccd imager chip failure in DSC-T3 camera, ccd imager chip replacement will fix this problem and you will get correct live view image in camera mode.
Please check with local camera repair shop for ccd image chip replacement as it is not user level repair and camera will take apart in detail.
Thanks.

The LCD-screen seems to work

Try to use a different setting like a bright light setting to see if the apeture is closed down further and brings back focus.
the problem is the auto focus which can be going stray and is not setting right. So take time to shoot with the shutter button down to half to allow it to focus and then once the indication of the focus has confirmed to click.
If not contact Sony service for help.

When I switch on the camera the LCD screen shows a

Do you have it set for closeups? Mine has one and it's placement made it easy to hit by accident just pulling it out of the case,

So I shoot all the beautiful pictures, including mule deer, in the wenatchee state forest in the mountain range onyl to find out, when I got home and saw them on a larger screen they appeared blurry and smudged.

How far is the image from you? Try a closeup on a flower, if it clears up you know it's switched.

Otherwise clean the lense with a lens kit.

Flash does not work anymore, why?

I don't know if this is a common fault but the same thing happened to me. Due to the design of the flash unit, only the whole thing can be replaced even if it is a simple repair like the bulb has gone (another con from Sony!). I tired several camera repair shops including Sony and it worked out more cost effecitve to purchase a new camera rather than to get my T3 repaired. I just continued to use the camera without the flash and it worked well enough for that. IMPORTANT NOTE: depending when your one was manufactured, it is not worth spending any money on it in case it develops the well known CCD sensor problem that affects the LCD display. See the link below for more information. It happened to mine just this month and being Sony, unlike the other companies affected, are no longer repairing them for free despite acknowledging there was a fault in the manufacturing of them. Check out: http://www.imaging-resource.com/badccds.html for more information.
