Hello i was trying to take a picture with my nikon

Your camera is not that old, for a film camera. But they are all electronic. Something in the shutter is bad (mirror going up), and is usually a sign of a dead camera. Repair is impossible and inprobbable. You can pick these up for $40. This mode can use all the newest fancy lenses. I would check the contacts and the battery. If the contacts are clean... it's dead.

Why is film clear after developing? Using bulk load Tmaxx 400

Sounds like the camera isn't working. It would appear the shutter doesn't function because you have no images at all. I would open up the camera and check this. (Empty of film of course).

Film not going through camera

E indicates empty. try resetting the camera. Pus both the rewind buttons (plus/minus button by release button and bracket button on side of mirror box). Push them at the same time. Let the camera run until it stops (just a few seconds). This resets the camera. Then try loading the film again. Make sure the leading edge of the film isn't bent and is the edge is within the red rectangle under the take up spool. It should then load the film. Note: the N75 pulls all the film out of the cassette and then rewinds it back I one shot at a time until you reach '0'.

When camera is on Autofocus, and Auto exposure

Try resetting the camera by pushing both rewind buttons (two buttons with red rewind symbol), and when the motor stops running open and close the back door then try again. If not it could be as simple as a bad release switch (the switches on the N55 and N75 were garbage) or a electronic problem. Also check to make sure you did not pop the shutter blades out of position when loading film. Remove the lens and gently lift up the mirror with a fingernail and make sure the blades are flat.

My Nikon N75 says error

If the LCD panel shows "E" then the film isn't loaded properly. If the LCD panel shows "ERR" and "E" blinking, then the film is not correctly advanced. If the LCD panel shows a blinking "E" when the exposure meter is turned on, then film remains in the camera after it has been rewound. In all cases, reload film.

If it's not one of those cases, or if the problem persists, please reply to this post giving further details.

Not taking pictures

Could you be a little more specific? Does the camera not turn on? Does it turn on but does nothing when you press the shutter release button? Does it show an error message of any kind? What lens(es) are you using? What exposure mode(s)?

Need to take a time-delay photo

Press the self-timer button located just right of the LCD control panel and confirm that the one-handed clock shows on the panel. Full details are in the "Self-Timer Operation" section on page 40 of the manual. If you need a manual you may download a copy from here.

Can't load the film

Turn the camera on. Open the back. Insert film, pull it across to the red mark. Close the back.

Camera should load automatically.
