Hello tanoeluc23
Whenever a PS2 game is run in backward compatibility mode, there's always a chance of a problem arising.
There were/are problems with this series of games running on the PS3. You'll have to wait until either Sony or the games publisher release an update to rectify the situation.

it's a copyright protection error... happens with some CD's... try copying the songs to a PC and use a flash drive to transfer, or copy to the PC and burn to a new disk
When playing Red Dead Redemption
If a game freezes, then the problem is usually due to the PS3 overheating. The PS3 needs good airflow through the vents so make sure that you don't put it in a corner or in a place where the hot air won't linger around for long like near a window. Also, don't play for too long; give your PS3 a break every once in a while (1 minute breaks don't count) :)
I can hear the music but people speaking sounds like they're faint and echoed
If you can hear the music in your PlayStation 3 (PS3) but people speaking sounds faint and echoed, there are a few things you can try to improve the sound quality:
1. Adjust the audio settings: Go to the PS3 menu and select "Settings" > "Sound Settings" > "Audio Output Settings." Choose the appropriate audio output settings for your system and TV or monitor, and make sure that the correct input channel is selected.
2. Check your connections: Make sure that all of your cables are securely connected to the PS3 and the TV or monitor. If the cables are loose, this can cause poor sound quality.
3. Check the game or movie settings: If you are playing a game or watching a movie, check the audio settings within the game or movie to ensure that the sound is optimized for your TV or monitor.
4. Adjust your TV or monitor settings: If the sound quality is still poor, adjust your TV or monitor settings. You may need to adjust the bass, treble, and other audio settings to improve the sound quality.
5. Use headphones: If none of the above solutions work, consider using headphones to listen to the sound from your PS3. This can provide better sound quality and reduce background noise and echoes.
If you continue to experience problems with the sound quality on your PS3, you may need to contact Sony customer support for further assistance or repair.
Take care and have a great day! -Alex
My PS3 have error code 8002f334
I've seen this error code going around for the older PS3's. From what I can gather, it's a HDD issue that can't be cured easily. Here are the steps to take that I found, that seem to work for all PS3 systems.
- take out the hard drive
- connect hard drive to pc (running windows 7 64bit, but any windows os should work without other software)
- open up disk management - in win7 it asked me to make a master boot record, so I did.
- format in NTSF - that's right, NTSF - don't use quick format
- shut down pc, take out hd, take usb drive too
- put hd back in ps3, put usb stick in ps3
- boot ps3
- a screen will pop-up saying the hard disk have to be formatted
- hold start + Select for 5 sec.
- After formatting the system will restart and the update will start installing
- configure your ps3 setup - done
- Remember to get the latest firmware from SONY onto the USB drive.
HDMI causes red lines (static?) on screen
im having the same problem to fix it i unhook my cable box (the video cables and the hdmi inputs to the tv) this stops the lines--try just the ps3 hooked to the tv and no other devices this should solve the problem--must be getting interference from some device
How much does it cost to repair a ps3 with a
If your not technically inclined, Sony will charge $149 as according to the people of this board:
http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=ps3&thread.id=1967987
or according to this page about $100:

My guess would be to take it to a local repair shop near you as they may not charge as much. The blinking lights that you are referring to usually mean the power supply has gone bad and power supplies don't run much. This guy thru Ebay has the power supplies for $50 and thats with free shipping. Don't know the guy personally but $50 seems reasonable if you know how to get into your ps3 and take out the old power supply and put the new one in.

Really its up to you. Its not hard taking the ps3 apart. Just taking a few screws out from the bottom and then a few from the top and taking the top cover off and exposing the ps3.
How to remove disk from playstation3 console that will not turn on
1. First shut down the system by flipping the power switch in the back off.
2. Hold down the eject disc button.
3. While still holding down the eject button, flip the power switch to turn back on your PS3.
4. When the green light comes on, wait a few seconds then tap the eject button a couple times. The fan will run on full power and the disc will eject.
Hi, i have just done
Sony are either doing a maintenence update or trying to fix the latest update bug that is stopping people from logging on. It will be fixed so give it some time and try again later.
Hope this helps
How can I reset a PS3 red screen of death(sic)?
PS3 piggy or gen2 slim. Slim is better. got slim.?or super slim??????????bought it dead or failed out of the blue and worked great for years?lots of causes.overheating from all vents full of lint inside too.the sony play station ,3 has tricky hidden vents, that are pesky to see and clean. out.the huge fan and huge heatsink fins must be fully clean.orbad PSU module. (power supply module inside)bad main board (mobo)or shorted BR ODD drive ( optical disk drive)or shorted hdd (mines SSD)best is have 2x, PS3. so you can swap parts, like I just did.gee they're cheap now used.if bought like that dead, vast more, I have a list.in that case mostly using wrong parts caused.see the 2 models ps3 herehttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlayStation_3_modelssee evolution ?three versions and parts top NO MIX> at all.
SYSTEM DOESN'T RECOGNIZE CONTROLS HOW
I'm guessing the issue is that the PS3 isn't responding to your controller input.Ensure that the PS3 controller is actually on. You can turn on the controller by pressing the Playstation button in the center of the controller. There will be a red light on top of the controller indicating that it is on.If no light shows up, it's possible that the controller simply has dead batteries. Grab your controller charge cable (should have been included with controller, looks like
this) and connect the controller to the PS3 while the console is on. Give it a few minutes, then press the center Playstation button again and see if it responds. It's also possible that the controller just isn't synced to your PS3. Again, grab the charge cable and connect it to your PS3 while it's on. Then press the Playstation button while the controller is connected. It should sync it to the PS3.If none of that is working for you, there may be an issue with the controller itself. The easiest fix it to reset the controller. There should be a tiny button in a hole on the back of the controller. Just press it (you'll need a paperclip or something to do it) and the controller will reset. I believe you'll have to re-sync the controller (using the cable again). You should also try syncing other controllers to your PS3 to make sure that the issue isn't with the PS3 itself (which would be awful; I've never heard a PS3 breaking like that but I suppose there is always a first). If other controllers work then either your controller's battery is dead or the controller is actually broken. I don't think Sony repairs/replaces controllers so you may have to buy a new one.It may be worthwhile to checkout their support page first, to see if anything helps before shelling out 50$ for a controller:

Playstation 3 error code 80710103
i think personally that this is a problem with there new Generate or Manage Device Setup Passwords. they never should have added this to ps3 and until they either fix this or remove it we will be facing this problem.
PS - hey guys stop putting different error codes for this. this guy is asking for the fix to 80710103 not 80710102 or 8001050F.
Playstation 3 Flickers when set to 1080P
It sucks to see ALLLLLLL these solutions, when I have the solution. Turn off DEEP COLOR in the video settings. It will immediately stop. If it doesn't, then you don't have the typical snow/flickering problem.
