Mike, Sorry to hear the carb is leaking. This happens when the Carb Float Needle gets stuck and is easy to rectify. If you watch this video on YouTube it will show you how to free up the Float Needle. It is the same procedure on all Carbs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LrBmeBcVnA

Make sure the gas is fresh. Also, take off the carb bowl and look for signs of gumming. If there is gooey stuff in the bowl, then the carb needs to be cleaned.

First verify that the breaker for the outlets is not tripped and make sure that the generator is running at full operating speed. let it run for 5-10 minutes and check for output power. If there is nothing, there are two possible problems. One could be that the automatic voltage regulator is bad. The other is that the field needs to be flashed - a high possibility if the generator has not been run in a long time. There are many videos on the internet that show you how to solve both of these problems. Just do a search for No output from a portable power generator.

I just purchased a Sigma 6500E generator, there was no instruction manual with it. Did get in stalled, but couldn't find out where to connect the battery cable, also there was nothing about the engine at all. Does the battery get charged when the generator is running ? I would hope that information is available for this unit. thank you
