Sounds like seat safety switch.To check switch use a piece of wire unplug seat switch under seat. stick wire in both sides of plug to complete circuit and try to use mower. If works replace switch.

That was happening to me, until I realized I had to have both steering bars pulled back toward me all the way before the mower would start. I'm not sure why it started doing this, but you can try pulling both bars back as far back toward you as you can, and then see if it will turn over for you. I hope this helps.

You may want to try to find a battery with a stronger amperage rating. Even if the battery passes if it is borderline for starting it new it may not be strong enough even if it's still okay for it's battery type. Other causes: A worn starter can cause this issue. I don't know. Having said that, I would sugg3est you smack the bolt a good single solid blow then try RH again. BTW - Lefty Loosey ... Righty - Tighty.

I would expect it will be on very tight ... you might want to spray a product called Liquid Wrench or other penetrating oil on the bolt and let it sit for a while before you try again.

Try not to break it ... but if you do ... it is not the end of the world. You can drill it and use an "easy out" to remove the broken stud from the hole. Get help on easy out and drill size before you start if it gets to this point.
