I have the same problem on my YTH2348. I changed both linkage rods and still have the problem. Not sure what is going on. I don't think it is the axle as these are cast iron and would take alot to bend it. Anybody have a clue what I could do to fix it!!!

Transmission does not run forward or backwards, machine starts and blades turn good but mower does not move

Do have a broken belt? If the pulleys turn but the tractor does not move before you go farther see if you have a broken shear pin in one of the pulleys You may have a transmission that needs work. if that doesn't work out.

I was mowing with my 1648 ariens but it only mows on one side

Check for a loose free wheeling blade. If blade is tight try to spin the blade and all should turn. If the blade turns freely without the rest turning, the pulley may be loose and the key sheared off which means you need to pull the cover to do more checking which may require removing the deck. I hope this helps.

MY LAWN MOWER WONT START AND RUN UNLESS I POUR GAS

The electrical part on the bottom of the carb is a fuel shut off solenoid. When you turn the key on, the plunger inside this mechanism retracts, allowing fuel to enter the carb. If you remove this it is easy to bench test with an alternate power source. Hope this helps. I’m happy to assist further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/layne_0fccff498c319c32

Engine wont run unless choke is almost closed and will die when you open choke up into normal position

Its a lean fuel conditoin. Probably something in the carb. Also check flow from the tank and the intake mounting screws.

Hi there,
What battery did you put in? Can you provide details of the battery? if you're using a 4gs or 5gs battery try using a lower one. The amount of voltage the battery releases when you fire up the blades could be causing the fuse to overload and thus blow.
Hope this helps!

Check the Operator Presence Switch located under the seat. If that switch isn't sending a Presence Signal when someone is sitting in the seat it won't allow the blades or Transmission systems work.

I too have had that same problem. I found that "old" blades when repeatidly sharpened and worn will cause the same problem, also aftermarket blades instead of original manufactures recommended blades may not be dimensionally correct, too short. I have had to go back to using original blades to correct the problem.
This should work for you.
Good luck.
