Most watches of this type have 2 batteries - 1 for the light and 1 for timekeeping. If you use the light a lot, you may have flattened the battery but the watch keeps going because it's running on the other battery. Take it to your local jewellers/watchmakers/watch repair shop and get them to test the battery and replace if flat. If the battery isn't flat and the light doesn't work then you have a faulty watch - if it's still under guarantee fine, if not buy yourself another watch if you can't put up with the fault.

Inside the battery compartment, you will see the battery is held down by a clip. Carefully remove the clip and eject the battery. Insert the new battery and replace the clip. If the battery clamp indicates you should do so, quickly press the reset button twice. Then reattach the back of the watch. If the watch display remains off after replacing the battery, press all buttons at the same time to reset the display.

take it to a jewlers shop, they have a special press to smash those SOBs back on. Its almost impossible to do it without a press, and you risk damage to the case/crystal, go on and spend a few dollars, its good for the economy too.

Depends on the type of back it is. I imagine it is a PUSH ON style in which case if its not popping on, it may be sprung. (happens when you push too hard in the center of the back instead of edges.)

Depends on what type of back it is. Is it a pop on? If you cant pop back on, may need to go to a jeweler. They have a watch press that allows you to get the back back on.

Not knowing the model or make I would say it will need to be sent to watchmaker for an overhaul/clean/ oil/ adjust. I dont know how old your watch is,either. Most watches have 1-2 year movement warranty.

mcdevito75 here, If your Timex has a Stem (winder) do this, Slip a fingernail just under the stem and gently lift the crown just a bit, the stem has 2 positions, it may take practice so be patient, once the crown is in it"s first position you"ll be able to change the DATE, set the date 1 date before the date you want so that the date will change on time at about Midnite. Now with the date 1 date before the date you want, push the crown back in and pull the crown out to set the hands, go thru the 24 hour cycle once till you reach the date you want, set also the time of day and your done. mcdevito75 here, The stem (crown) on your timex shou;d have 2 positions, this allows you to set the date without haveing to turn the hands around so many times. Place a fingernail just under the crown (winder knob) and lift to it"s first position, it may take some practice so if you don"t get it the first time keep trying, Once you lift the crown to it:"s first position you shoulsd be able to set the date, set the date a day before the date you need, Now, push the stem back in all the way, now pull out the stem and set the date and time you want, you"ll have to go around the 24 hours once to set the correct date and time. mcdevito75, Some watches are waterproof, shockproof, and so on. But, no watch is air proof, Believe it or not air is always in your watch and---all air contains water, hot air, cold air, Heat up air and you seperate the water, the air in your watch gets hot on your wrist then cools when you go outside or when you take off the watch. The condensation you see is the tempersture change of the air in your Timex, Believe it or not. It really can"t be stopped, If you can or have a small watch repir shop remove the back and put in another seal around the back cover this should help. Try to keep your watch at a constant temp.

mcdevito75 here, You may have a 2 position stem in your Timex, Slip a fingernail just under the crown and lift to it:'s first position, this should allow you to change the day / date without haveing to go thru the 24 hour cycle. Best Bet, change the date to the date before, then go thru the 24 hours to have the date change at midnite and not 12 noon. If the date keeps falling back to previous, the date wheel maybe loose in that case you can find a small watch repair shop inyour area, but it may be cheaper to replace the watch if this is the case.

mcdevito75 here, If it"s just the date on your watch, you may have to pull the stem out to the set position and simlpy keep turning the hands, every second time around to 12" O"clock the date should change it may even be at 1 or 2" Oclock..

Your battery is too weak to power everything at the same time. It needs to be replaced with a FRESH battery.
