I couldn't turn my calculator all of a sudden. How

Don't send it in for repairs just yet.

TI calculators have an annoying habit of dimming the screen, especially when the batteries are changed, so that it appears as if the calculator isn't turning on. Turn the calculator on (or at least press the ON key). Press and release the 2ND key. Press and hold the Up-arrow key for a few seconds and see whether the screen becomes legible.

If this doesn't do it, press and hold the 2ND, left-arrow, and right-arrow keys, then press and release the ON key.

If this doesn't do it, please reply to this post and we'll go on from there.

How to install additional software

You can write programs and type them in. You can also find programs on the Internet and transfer them to the calculator. For that you need TI Silver cable, TI Connect software you can download from education.ti.com. Programs are available at education.ti.com or at TIcalc.org. The use of Third-party software is at your own risk.

I keep on getting domain error when calculating inverse normal with aera: .025 mean: 1 and standard deviation: 0 on my TI 89

This is to be expected. A standard deviation of 0 means that all the data points are identical. Asking for the point below which .025 of the data lie is meaningless.

I am not able to integration on my ti 89 titanium calculator...i mean its only solving simple ones and for the big ones like ((t+2)^(1/2))/e^t.....it completely messed up my calculus bc exam

Well it is just a calculator, it cannot do all the possible integrals you might think of. You may try to help it a bit by using the usual techniques that you were taught to transform the integral into another it might be able to find: change of variables, integration by parts. You cannot let the success on your AB or BC exam depend solely on the calculator.

Ti-89 titanium diagnostics

There is no DiagnosticsOn command in the TI 89 Titanium. The command exists on the TI83/84PLUS where it displays the r and r^2 coefficients. On the TI89 , the correlation coefficient and the determination coefficient (r, r^2) are displayed by default among the statistics if THE REGRESSION MODEL includes them. If they are not defined by the regression model they will not be displayed. In short, you do not have to turn diagnostics ON.

TI-89 incorrect answer

You're not doing anything wrong. The TI-89 simply does not reduce odd powers in square roots. If you change the 13 to 14 you'll see a rather different result.

Using appropriate properties of logarithms, rewrite f(x)=2+3ln(1/x)

At first, y=2+3(ln1-lnx), logA/B=logA-logBYou have to know that ln1=0 because by the definition e^(0)=1And finally y=2-3ln(x)See the graph of this function on the image below3_14_2012_7_17_49_am.jpg
