Door or Lid Latch Assembly

Door Strike

If the door won't latch, the door strike might be defective. These are normally made of plastic or metal and cannot be repaired. If the door won't latch and the door strike is broken, replace it.

Under the dishwasher you should she a hose barb by the drain pump assembly. One end of the drain hose hooks to the pump and the other to your drainage system.

You may be experiencing this problem due to the soap you use or too much soap. Run a cycle without soap but put a cup of white vinegar in the machine. Then just use Cascade dishwashing packets. If your filters are clean and the pump is working that should take care of your problem. Do NOT use the inexpensive soaps on the market and especially don't use more than what is recommended. This leaves a film on your dishes and will cause it not to clean or rinse well. (I don't have any connection to Cascade - I just know it works very well. Costco brand packets also work well.)

Hello and welcome to Fixya.

Aside from physically removing the dispenser assembly ( which would be quite involved and include taking the door panel off ) you should be able to "nuetralize" the dish"soap" by adding as much "white vinegar" as possible into the same location as the soap...the jet dry reservoir.

In fact you may have to try this several times, but you could also try pouring straight water into the reservoir, but that will take some time since it is "soap" as opposed to detergent, hence needing a lot of water to de-lute it to much of a degree.

I'd go with the "white vinegar" and repeat that several times through a "rinse & hold" cycle. ( do not add any dishes or cutlery...run it empty )

You can also add a couple of tablespoons of "vegatable oil" directly into the bottom of the dishwasher and some of your regular "detergent" before starting the "rinse & hold" cycle. This will give the soap something to react with and the "detergent" will also help "neutralize" the soap,,,hopefully breaking it down as a result.

To answer the second part of your post...

The effect is going to be oversudsing in the rinse cycle since this is when the jet dry/rinse agent is dispensed in the cycle. So what I'm hoping to accomplish with these suggestion's is to minimize the oversudsing or prevent it all together until the reservoir is "purged" of soap.

Let me know how you make out. It usually works in the cases I've had...eventually. I've seen plenty as you are not the first nor will you be the last...we all screw up, that's life ;o)

this sounds like flow sensor failure,it it fails machine will either not fill up or fill and drain without washing its a cheap part to replace and is fitted downstream of inlet valve behind l/h/s side panel either attached to inle hose or heat exchanger.

Pull the door latch towards the front of the dishwasher until it clicks in the open position.

I do not know this specific machine, but I have to say that if the pellet hits something regularly instead of falling freely into the machine, then the design of the machine may simply not be good for pellets. Use powder. That also allows you to use more or less when required.

Make sure the drainage hose is not pushed all the way through the gooseneck in the pipe. Doing so will bypass the standing water which prevents sewer gasses from escaping into the dishwasher.

Hi. Sounds like a leaky inlet valve. Sometimes they don't seal off completely or the membrane inside it could be torn. Best to replace the whole valve. Regards Sam

First you will need to remove all old adhesives. Fingernail polish remover will remove a lot, but silicone requires scraping, and cleaning with a nail file or such. Then use contact cement. Check the label to find one that is heat and moisture proof.

You have a bad wash motor( main motor)

Can not find anything for the model number you have indicated. Can you check ENr and repost pls.

Sounds like you either have a leak which has activated the flood safety in the base, you can check this by pulling the machine onto a towel and tipping the whole unit forward ie raise the back of the machine off the floor so it is pivoted on the front feet at approx 45 degrees, if water runs out from under the machine you have a leak (the machine may well start to work again now but you need to trace the leak or it will reoccur as soon as the safety is activated again). The other possibility is the pressure chamber or hose (pressure chamber to sump) is blocked and the microswitch is being activated because the water is not entering the tank quick enough. Isolate from electric, remove lid and left panel (looking from the front). There is a plastic chamber bottom right of left side with two microswitches, either this is blocked or the hose that runs from it to the right and along the back of the kick panel and into the sump. Clear either or both (make sure all hoses are pushed true when repositioning). You can also try putting in a kettle full of hot water, close the door (don't start the d/w) let it sit for about 30mins and then try the machine, after periods of non use, sometime the seals can dry out this will plump them back up. Post back if you need more info.

I tried the various solutions on this site with no success. Finally I wedged it shut with a nice clear plastic door stop. Worked perfect (who cares if people think it looks funny, I am not hand washing and still am not out any extra dollars)

I had the same problem with my Bosch dishwasher.I came to this web site to find out how to get the door off.I took the experts advice,placed 4 pillows on the floor in fromt,opened the door,took out the screws and the front panel dropped down.It was so easy,the plastic spacers stayed in place.I put a little J B weld on the handle screws and tighted the handle and put everything back together,12 minutes tops.Thanks for the help,thankful in Georgia

The pump motor is beginning to seize up. You may be able to take the dishwasher apart and lubricate the bearings and keep it going for a while, but at some point you will likely have to replace the pump motor assembly.

There is a float in the dishwasher that sometimes gets stuck and when that happens, the washer will not fill. Look for a (mostly round) upright part that will be in the front of the washer either on the left or right side. That is the float and it could be stuck in the cutoff position (caused by the soap). The older models have it on the same side where the soap is placed. The newer models have it on the opposite side to stop that exact problem. MOve it up and down and clean out any dried caked soap that might be under it.Good Luck
