Nintendo DSi Black Console - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Two things: the dsi action replay will not stay
- Action Replay Not Staying Inserted:
- The issue with the Action Replay not staying inserted into the DSi may be due to a loose or damaged cartridge slot on the DSi or an issue with the Action Replay cartridge itself.
- Check the Action Replay cartridge for any visible damage, including bent pins or connectors. If you find any, it may need to be repaired or replaced.
- Try inserting other game cartridges into your DSi to see if they fit securely. If other cartridges also don't stay in place, it could indicate a problem with the DSi's cartridge slot.
- DSi Not Recognizing Game Cartridge:
- If your DSi doesn't recognize that there's a game in the slot, this could be related to the Action Replay cartridge, or it could be a more general issue with the DSi.
- Test this issue with regular game cartridges that are known to work. If the DSi still doesn't recognize them, there may be a problem with the cartridge slot.
- If other game cartridges work fine, the issue may be specific to the Action Replay. In this case, you should contact the manufacturer or distributor for support or a replacement.
In either case, if the problem persists, you may want to consider having your DSi and Action Replay inspected or repaired by a professional technician, or contact Nintendo's customer support for further assistance. Make sure to follow their guidance and ensure that your DSi and accessories are in good working condition.

My dsi wont play games
It is possibly either dirty or bent contacts in the cartridge slot. If the game slides in and out easily then the pins are possibly not bent.... if it does not the pins are bent and you will need the slot replaced or replace the unit.
You can use a Emery board (Yes nail file) push the board in and of of the cartridge slot. Make sure the motion is only in and out no side to side or you risk bending the pins.
Hope this helps.

HOW DO I UNFREAZE ABLACK DSI
1
Hold down the "Power" button for at least four seconds to turn the DSi off. If the system powers off, hold the Power button to turn the system back on and reset the operating system. The system should no longer be frozen. If the system doesn't power off, go to the next step.
2
Plug the Nintendo DSi to the power outlet using its AC adapter. Allow the system to charge for two to three hours. A battery may be recharged 500 times or less before being depleted. Once charged, hold down the "Power" button to turn on and reset the operating system. The system should unfreeze itself; if not, follow the next step.
3
Remove the battery from the Nintendo DSi. Unplug the AC adapter from the DSi. Loosen the two screws with a Philips screwdriver on the battery cover. Remove the cover, then remove the battery. Put the old battery back in or replace it with a new battery. Removing and resituating an old battery will sometimes jolt the system and allow it to unlock itself. Replace the battery cover and retighten the screws. Then, try to hold down the "Power" button to unfreeze the system.
